The Ming and Qing dynasties were the era when novels flourished. More than 700 novels of the Ming Dynasty have been comprehensively surveyed, and a total of 5,806 parasitic lyrics and music have been compiled (including about 1,400 reoccurring poems). This book can be called a masterpiece of the compilation of parasitic lyrics and music in Ming Dynasty novels.
