"How was your summer?" " Is Jin Ae-ran's third collection of short stories, including a total of eight works. Most of the various characters in the book face desperate situations, nakedly exposed to reality, but trying to find slim hope. It is particularly worth mentioning that five of the works focus on young women in their thirties, delicately describing their psychological states in love, friendship, marriage, work, etc., Which may arouse resonance among Chinese female readers. As the most representative female writer in the Korean literary world, Kim Ae-ran has won the love of a large number of readers, largely due to the power of the protagonist in her work. The book is prefaced by Wen Zhen, a Chinese writer and winner of the "Lao She Literature Award".

This is an unethical love. The lonely Kawabata throws a porcelain bowl that has been used by tea drinkers for generations into an unethical love. Its owners were cursed with being too obsessed with the false makeup of women and the exquisiteness of ceramics. Like his father, Kikuji was deeply entangled with women. And the teacup stained with guilt continues to wander in the weirdness, just like the loneliness of sentimental objects is also in the eternal reincarnation.

The second time I took the train to the island village where I met the geisha Komako, and when I was enjoying the snowy scenery at dusk, I accidentally saw the beautiful girl Ye Zi reflected on the train window, and I fell in love with her. Subtle emotional entanglements pass through the long tunnel across the border, lingering in the snowy country. "Snow Country" is Kawabata Yasunari's highest masterpiece and one of the three novels mentioned by the Nobel Prize jury. It not only adheres to the traditional aesthetics of emptiness and silence since "The Tale of Genji", but also explores the deep and secret psychological consciousness of human nature. It also explores important topics such as fate, and uses extremely subtle and implicit poetic language, beautiful imagery and breaks the boundaries of time and space. The writing presents a profound and extensive picture of life in minimalist length, characters, and plots, allowing the original love and loneliness of human nature to reflect each other, bringing strong sensory stimulation, and at the same time, it reaches the extreme of the beauty of nothingness, purity, and sadness.

The newspapers published the news of "New Year, New Life" as usual, but the commotion has already spread: mankind has fallen into eternal old age, and pension reserves will be overwhelmed; funeral companies are facing bankruptcy and can only bury cats, dogs and canaries; pessimistic philosophers are worried: without death, the future will be a disaster. "Confessions" is Rousseau's autobiography, written by Rousseau in his later years. The whole book is divided into two parts, reflecting the certain cruelty and oppression caused by society to people through Rousseau's own rough life. It is Rousseau's introspection and painstaking work in his later years when he was in a miserable situation. It records Rousseau's life experience for more than fifty years from his birth to his forced departure from St. Pierre Island in 1766. Rousseau recounted the rough treatment he received as a child, described the abuse he received after entering society, and all the darkness and injustice he heard and witnessed, and angrily exposed the "law of the jungle" in society, as well as the ugliness and decadence of the ruling class. Through his unparalleled self-confession, Rousseau showed his unique life experiences, thoughts and emotions to the world, and guided readers to understand and think about deep-seated issues about people and society.

"Disillusionment", written by the French realist writer Balzac, is a novel that reflects the commercialization of literature and art and the shady world of journalism. It is also one of the most profound masterpieces in "Human Comedy" and the one that best reflects the spirit of the times. Through the encounters of two talented and ambitious young people, the novel reflects the situation and mental state of an entire generation of young people after the French Revolution. It points out that with the disintegration of the feudal system and the victory of capitalism, there will inevitably be competition between people, which will inevitably produce poems of personal struggle and tragedies of shattered ideals.

Milan Kundera
"The Unbearable Lightness of Being" is Milan Kundera's masterpiece novel and a world-renowned super best-seller. The novel relies on the historical changes in Czechoslovakia in the 1960s and uses the accidental and fateful love of Thomas and Theresa as the main line to unfold the story. It not only describes the emotional entanglements of several couples, but also not only writes about personal lives. The ups and downs of fate in the changing circumstances and the choices of individuals in moments of change are a philosophical novel with rich layers and complex images. It starts with the mysterious question of the weight of human life under the delirium of eternal reincarnation. As the characters' life trends and thoughts in the book are constantly interspersed, the theory of relativity between the lightness and weight of life, and the soul and body is put forward.

Mira's Conjecture
General Fiction米拉的猜想
(uk) Angus Bancroft Et Al.
At the age of eighteen, a thunderstorm fell on Mila's world: her father was imprisoned on suspicion of stock fraud, her mother seemed to be cheating on her father's colleagues, her brother was a life-sucker, and her aunts couldn't hide their sympathy... For a moment, the past life seemed like a lifetime ago. Mira became a notorious "sinner's daughter" and had to hide under a pseudonym. During this embarrassing period, she made close friends and lovers. In the face of public abuse, should Mira stand up and express her feelings? How to save the loss of idealism? Can a fragile young man still lend a helping hand to others? Mira guessed that maybe sociology saved her.

Kingfisher Villa
General Fiction翠鸟别墅
(france) Adrian Goetz
This book was shortlisted for the 2018 Caen Literary Prize. In March 2019, Macron and his wife made a special trip to Nice, France, to arrange a private dinner for President Xi Jinping and his wife at the "Kingfisher Villa" on the Côte d'Azur. This book was presented to President Xi Jinping as one of the gifts by President Macron. Kingfisher Villa, a famous building on the Mediterranean coast of France, is the representative of a series of villas. It was built in the early 20th century and was designed by the versatile Theodore Heine (an archaeologist, jurist, mathematician, philosopher, politician, etc.). Theodore was the brother of Joseph and Solomon, and the three of them were inseparable, both bearded and equally learned. This villa decorated in Greek style is also a treasure trove of French cultural treasures. This villa allows the protagonist Achilles to step out of his small world and discover a world full of dreams and poetry. Achilles, a painter who is over 70 years old, returns to this villa that has been turned into a museum as an ordinary person. He was a neighbor of the villa, witnessed its construction, and spent his youth in Kingfisher Villa, immersed in the civilization of ancient Greece like the other children of the extended family. Years later, he returned to Kingfisher Villa as he grew old. In each room, he rediscovered his past. One door opens to Alexander the Great; another door opens to Mount Athos; yet another door opens to his beloved Ariadne... When reading this historical novel, readers will temporarily stay away from modern society and immerse themselves in the atmosphere of ancient Greece.

Selections of Norman Manea's Famous Works (all 4 Volumes)
General Fiction诺曼·马内阿知名作品精选集(全4册)
(romania) Norman Manea
This set contains four works by Norman Manea: "Legal Happiness", "The Black Envelope", "Prisoners" and "The Nest". "Legal Happiness" contains four novellas, which show the lives and psychological states of various different groups of people including intellectuals, officials, and the working class in Romania in a special era, reflecting the hopes and fears, struggles and confusions of an era. "Black Envelope": In the eyes of "mental patient" Tolea, this spring in Bucharest is brilliant and crazy, filled with restlessness, poison and perversity. A story narrated by an "abnormal person", the whole book is composed of paradoxical scenes. Confusion, metaphors, and sleep talk form a shocking picture of the Romanian intellectuals in the 1980s. "Prisoners" is the author's first published work, which has special literary value and significance. The novel creates three main characters: a depressed teacher, a sensitive and lonely daughter of a suspected war criminal who committed suicide, and a young engineer. The novel presents the lives of people who experienced the Nazi Holocaust and fell into the totalitarian rule of Ceausescu. The manuscript combines reality and dreams, and the writing style is both true and imaginary, like a monologue or a babble. "The Nest" is a literal translation of Eastern European literature about the troubled life of a conscience in exile in the United States, which is closer to the author's original intention. The profound trauma of the Jewish Holocaust, the heavy spiritual shackles of a closed society, and the layers of spiritual confusion in the free world. This book describes the life of Romanian intellectuals represented by Parade, Peter, and Gora in the "free world" America.

The same is true for Alyssa in "The Narrow Gate", when the faith on which her heart depends for survival forces herself to be restrained time and time again. Regarding her true desires, Alyssa finally struggled and called out in despair: "Am I really willing to make sacrifices?" 恨中录(日韩宫廷女性日记文学系列丛书)
Editor-in-chief Zhang Longmei
These three works, including "The Diary of Guichou", "The Biography of Queen Inhyun" and "The Record of Hate", are the three masterpieces of Korean court women's literature and are called the Trilogy of Joseon Court Novels. "Guichou Diary" records the claustrophobic events in the West Palace of Gwanghaejun and Queen Inmok, Seonjo's step-concubine. The book "The Biography of Queen Inhyun" is based on the life of Queen Inhyun, the princess of King Sukjong of Joseon. It mainly tells and praises the life and virtues of Queen Inhyun. It also uses the story of Queen Inhyun and Jang Heibin to reveal the cruelty of the struggle inside and outside the Joseon court and the tragic experience of women. "The Biography of Queen Inhyun" is a very characteristic palace novel of the ancient Joseon Dynasty. It has delicate and vivid writing style, compact and orderly plot and fascinating story. It is a classic work of Korean classical novels. "Records of Hate" consists of four articles, which use a large number of court terms and the writing style is exquisite and smooth. These three works are all masterpieces of ancient Korean court literature and are of great value to the study of ancient Korean literature.

十六夜日记(日韩宫廷女性日记文学系列丛书)
Editor-in-chief Zhang Longmei
"The Diary of Izayoi" includes "Between a Dream", "The Diary of Izayoi" and "The Diary of Zhu Xiang", which are classics of medieval palace women's diary literature. The four works selected in this book were created during the one hundred years from the middle of the thirteenth century to the middle of the fourteenth century, which is equivalent to the middle and late Kamakura period to the early Northern and Southern Dynasties. The samurai family's encroachment on political power and the division of the country caused by the division of the royal family (the two successive regimes in Japan's Southern and Northern Dynasties era) have all turned the elegant and aloof aristocratic life of the Heian period into a dream. The authors of the diary lived in the setting sun era of aristocratic society. Therefore, on the one hand, the works maintain the tradition of aristocratic literature, and on the other hand, they inevitably bear the mark of the new era. Although the romance between men and women, the love between parents and children and court life are still important themes in medieval diaries, they also present a completely different spiritual outlook from the works of the previous era. They are always unwilling to accept their fate, bravely use their own actions to break difficulties, and actively look for ways to solve life's problems. This is very different from the protagonists of Heian Diary who are trapped in the concept of fate, passively accept the unsatisfactory life, and are unable to take steps to change. Medieval diarists expressed their unique understanding of the meaning of life by describing their lives in action.

紫式部日记(日韩宫廷女性日记文学系列丛书)
Editor-in-chief Zhang Longmei
"The Diary of Murasaki Shikibu" includes the classic diary literary works of court women in the Heian period, "The Diary of the Dragonfly", "The Diary of Izumi Shikibu", "The Diary of Murasaki Shikibu", "The Diary of the Gensho" and "The Diary of Sanuki Noshima". The Heian Period in Japan was a period in which Japan gradually formed its own culture and aesthetic taste after inheriting the Asuka and Nara Period, which absorbed Chinese culture. It was also the last period in Japanese history that was ruled by court nobles. Most of the aristocratic women in this period had good literary accomplishments. The heart is rich and the brushwork is delicate. From their pens, the palace diary literature written in female characters (kana script) was born, which can be regarded as the origin of Japanese women's literature. Most of these literary works take palace life as the main theme. Some depict elegant court life, while others describe elegant or bitter love experiences with officials from the emperor down to the imperial court. A common feature of these works is the author's strong self-awareness, which is not bound by traditional norms. The author's thinking about his own situation and destiny can be seen everywhere in the words. The focus on individual life experience in the work, especially the profound thinking on the meaning of life and the delicate psychological description, is not inferior even when compared with contemporary novels. Its strong introspection, full reflection of the author's inner spirit, and literary descriptive description directly inspired the tradition of "private novels" in modern Japanese literature.

Reborn in One Day
General Fiction一日重生
H
A tear-jerking work comparable to "Coco", it is written for all of you and me who were once children, to understand the life that our mother has never told; the famous writer Bi Shumin wrote a loving preface, and was recommended by the queen of talk show Oprah in her special episode. "Almost everyone, no matter how happy they may appear on the outside, has a small place deep inside them where they hold a loved one who has passed away and longs to be reunited one day." - Mitch Albom. Let a long-dead relative spend another day with you. Only one day. If you can do it, do you need such an opportunity? The opportunity, at an awkward moment, fell to Charles Bennett. The retired baseball player could no longer find any reason to live amidst the frustration and alcohol consumption - his career was on the wall, his marriage was broken, he was addicted to alcohol, and his family was betrayed and separated. Even his daughter's wedding was unwilling to let him show up... Charles had the idea of suicide. He thought that as long as a high-speed car and a selfless run, he could wave goodbye without taking away a single cloud. However, in the flash of lightning, his physical body wandered between this place and the other side; when he suddenly woke up, he actually saw his mother who died unexpectedly many years ago. Mitch Albom's perception of life is like an ever-growing seed. It sprouted in "Tuesday", drew a long arc in "Five People You Meet in Heaven", and firmly took root in "Reborn in a Day". The soil is the state of the world and the human heart, and the root is love.
Literary Conference
General Fiction文学会议
I
"Literary Conference" is a novella by Argentinian writer Cesar Ella. It is also the work with the tightest story rhythm and the best reading experience in the "Cesar Ella Series". The style of "Literary Conference" is varied. It starts with an adventure and treasure hunt novel, then transitions into a science fiction novel. After transforming into a romantic literary and artistic work mixed with a thrilling and bizarre "drama within a drama", it finally reaches its climax in the form of a horror movie. Behind the seemingly bizarre story lies the author's thinking about life. He felt frustrated by the declining publishing industry and was full of ridicule for the arty "cultural people". The subtle and extremely poignant metaphors are hidden in the fantasy story, and there is a sense of appropriateness.

Death of a Beekeeper
General Fiction养蜂人之死
(sweden) Lars Gustafsson
Gustafsson said frankly: "This is a book about pain. It depicts the journey to the end ruled by pain-under the pain, there is nothing else." When the snow and ice began to melt in winter, Lars Lennart Westin, a primary school teacher turned beekeeper, suspected that he had cancer and that he would not have much time left. He threw the unopened diagnosis notice into the fireplace and refused to spend the rest of his time in the hospital. Instead, he chose to live in seclusion in the countryside and start his "self-rescue journey" alone. He recalls a past that was both real and illusory, and illness makes his feelings more acute... The main body of the novel consists of three notebooks left by the protagonist. Opening them, Westin's final life trajectory and mental journey slowly unfold. Through keen yet humorous philosophical thinking, the stubbornness and courage of ordinary people facing the pain of life are presented.
