Su Jin's Past in Hong Kong
Literature素锦的香港往事
Lily
The book "Su Jin's Hong Kong Past" is based on the real correspondence between Su Jin and her sister Su Mei (the names of the main characters involved in the letter have been changed for the sake of the believer and her family). It tells the story of Su Jin's daily life in Hong Kong for twenty years and the joys and sorrows she experienced during that period. Su Jin is from Shanghai. When she was young, she became a dancer because of her poor family. After meeting Mr. Zhang, she gave birth to three children without status. But Zhang later took his first wife and children to Hong Kong, and Su Jin lost her source of livelihood. In desperation, she went to Hong Kong alone in 1956. The three children stayed in Shanghai and were taken care of by Su Jin's sister and brother-in-law. Su Jin lived frugally in Hong Kong and kept sending money to Shanghai. Through this book, we can feel Su Jin's forbearance and suffering as a woman and a mother in Hong Kong for twenty years; we can also see the various attitudes of an ordinary Hong Kong citizen towards life and world affairs, especially the unique experience of the changes and development of Hong Kong in the two decades from 1956 to 1976. Although these letters are Su Jin's personal sorrow and joy, they also reflect the lives of the lower class people in Hong Kong from the 1950s to the 1970s. They are not only fragments of Su Jin's personal life history, but also historical documents for studying the urban history of Hong Kong. The presentation of letters in this book is restrained and appropriate, and the source of the letters is vivid and deeply impactful.

This book systematically shares writing methods, abandons "routine" and "template" teaching, and uses 13 chapters to explain a large number of practical writing skills, so that novice writers can easily learn to write and fall in love with writing. Starting from the understanding of writing and the underlying logic of writing, this book systematically analyzes the methods and techniques of topic selection, structure construction, material collection, language use, outline writing, and story creation. It includes practical modules such as novel writing, self-media writing, reading bloggers, writing monetization, and a step-by-step guide to learn writing from 0 to 1. The content is highly instructive and practical. This is an "anti-anxiety" book. Most of the books on writing on the market tell you how to monetize quickly, but this book uses a large number of practical cases to teach you step by step how to write articles that you are satisfied with, and how to enjoy the writing process without treating it as a job or a trouble. This is the long-term monetization strategy. This writing method has been practiced by many people personally. Many people have successfully submitted articles, some have successfully published their own works, and some have established personal writing brands and achieved "counterattacks." This book is suitable for everyone who wants to learn writing, loves writing, and desires to make money from writing.

Victor Hugo's Literature
Literature雨果论文学
(french) Victor Hugo
As a leader of the French Romantic Movement in the 19th century, Hugo was a highly accomplished Romantic writer in the history of literature. His theoretical texts were not only important theoretical documents of the Romantic movement at that time, but also a theoretical specimen of Romantic literary and artistic thought. They still have significance as ideological materials for us today. "Hugo on Literature" selects eleven of Hugo's literary reviews, prefaces, etc., Which helps us understand the romantic literary movement and this genre, especially the creative method of positive romanticism. Hugo put forward the idea of "beauty serves truth" and believed that the poet's social responsibility is to promote ideals and educate the people. This is one of the differences between positive romanticism and negative romanticism.

The book "Events and Events: A Study of the Narrative Tradition of Chinese Classical Poetry" takes the "pan-event view" of classical poetry theory as an entry point, and picks out the two key concepts of "events" and "events" as a foothold for exploring poetic narrative, and attempts to explore a feasible path to deepen the narrative tradition of poetry. Specifically, this book is divided into three parts: upper, middle and lower parts. The first part is dedicated to analyzing the basic concepts and important concepts related to narrative in classical poetics, and exploring and reshaping its hidden theoretical system. From "artistic conception" to "situation", from "image" to "scene", the author outlines the research methods of the narrative tradition of Chinese classical poetry, and proposes an evaluation system with "cut" as the core. The middle editor selects representative poetry types with distinctive narratives, such as historical poems, autobiographical poems, urban chronicle poems, etc., To examine the narrative form and reveal the characteristics of the poetic environment generated by narrative. The second part focuses on the investigation of specific poets, poetic commentators and specific events, which not only proves the effectiveness of narrative analysis through case studies, but also presents the vivid details and artistic charm of poetic narrative. It focuses on the analysis of Lu You's Dream Poetry, Yang Wanli's "Chengzhai Style", Fang Dongshu's "Zhao Mei Zhan Yan", etc., Through case studies, it proves the scientific nature of the "event phenomenon" and "event situation" analysis method, and provides reference cases for the study of Chinese classical poetry narrative.

Year Of The Seventh Pansy
We still need to love each other with the generosity and prosperity of life. Even if the years bully each other with harshness and desolation, some love is destined to be desolate, and some love will remain silent in the end, dedicated to all those who spare no effort to fight fate with this rare emotion. The whole book "Chenqu" written in the Qi Jin Dynasty is divided into three parts: travel notes, essays and novels. It contains fine essays that were scattered in publications in the late Qi Jin years, the latest wonderful travel notes, and the novella "Dust Song". The novel "Dust Song" tells the story of a family where violent conflicts erupted under the peaceful surface due to chance coincidences in one day. The story unfolds like a drama, with each family member's secret past buried in their hearts unfolding one after another: the father's early emotional entanglement with his ex-wife; the son's love story that has been hidden for many years as a non-heterosexual; and the daughter's unique experience in college. A family under the same roof has its own concerns. They would rather share their sad past with near-strangers than be honest with their loved ones. This is all because Chinese-style family affection carries a huge sense of alienation and the shackles of refusing to communicate. It delicately presents the painful struggles and entanglements deep in everyone's heart.

"Theory of Semiotics" is the theoretical masterpiece of Italian semiotician Umberto Eco. It successfully constructed a theoretical system of general semiotics. "Alexandre Dumas' Gourmet Dictionary" is a literary feast made up of entries one by one. Different from the rigid writing method of traditional dictionaries, Alexandre Dumas added a lot of literary factors when making entries. All celebrity anecdotes, myths and legends, jokes, and historical materials related to food are included, which is full of interest and makes people unable to bear to put it down. This book has been widely praised as "good-looking and easy to use". It is one of the few serious food literatures in the West. Its survival value and contribution cannot be underestimated. Shakespeare's Tragedies
Literature莎士比亚悲剧集
(english) Shakespeare
"Shakespeare's Tragedies" collects Shakespeare's five representative tragedies, including "Romeo and Juliet", "Hamlet", "Othello", "King Lear" and "Macbeth", covering all aspects of social life: there are tragedies with love as the theme, tragedies with revenge as the clue, and tragedies that directly expose evil. These tragic works represent Shakespeare's outstanding achievements, profoundly depict the tragedy of human nature and the destiny of mankind, and are great works in world literature. In "Romeo and Juliet", a series of accidental plots create a conflict between family feud and true love, and continue to intensify the conflict, making it impossible to resolve the conflict in a satisfactory way, and the only choice is final destruction. "Hamlet" uses the history of Denmark in the 8th century to reflect the social reality of England in the late 16th and early 17th centuries. "Othello" describes the strange love story between a Venetian noblewoman who has no experience in the world and the son of an African Moorish tribe leader. The story of "King Lear" comes from ancient British legends. There are many poems and proses on this theme. Shakespeare added original content such as the tragic ending and King Lear's madness based on the story blueprint. "Macbeth" has the dual aesthetic qualities of tragedy of fate and tragedy of character, which is consistent with the spirit of the times at that time.

不愿活下去的人:关于生死的特别报道
(add)katie Engelhardt
Suicide turns out to be much more difficult than imagined. Veteran journalist Katie Engelhardt spent four years following and interviewing hundreds of people who no longer wanted to live. Either because of illness, aging, or unbearable mental pain... When life is destined to be unable to live well, they just want to die well. However, it is often difficult for seriously ill people to end their own lives independently. Some people risk ordering illegal lethal drugs; some spend all their money to go to "death clinics"; some even have no choice but to rely on relatives to make decisions that may suit their wishes... Various suicide dilemmas have made calls for the legalization of assisted suicide increasingly louder. Supporters emphasize the desire to be free from pain and suffering, believing that this is related to autonomy and dignity. Opponents worry that as long as laws permitting assisted dying exist, they will lead to a slippery slope in ethics, eventually including all patients and abusing the poor, the unwilling, the compromised, and the frightened. In this debate about death, the author focuses on the stories of six people, who represent different positions: the parties involved, the assistants... This last unavoidable thing in life, the decision-making power lies with the person, his family, doctors, the law or fate? This special report is an in-depth reporting and fearless examination of this ethical and rights subject, introducing readers to ordinary people who struggled to find dignity and authenticity in their final moments.

Unwilling Care
Literature不情愿的照护
(english) Reluctant Caregiver
How can we protect our parents and put aside our own anxieties at the same time? "Reluctant Care" began as an article in The Guardian and went viral in January 2019. It tells the story of an anonymous middle-aged man who moves back in with his elderly and ailing parents, describing his experience of returning to his childhood home to care for his increasingly frail parents while his personal and professional life fell apart. This book is unfolded in the form of a diary, with four parts in total, recording the daily life of caring for parents in the past two years from November 2017 to July 2019. The story begins with a phone call. The 87-year-old father was sent to the hospital due to a heart attack, leaving the 89-year-old mother alone at home. So the author packed a small bag and went home to help. But his life falls apart just as quickly as his parents' health... The author is trapped in the house where you grew up, re-living with the people who raised him, and everything is testing his sanity and patience. In order to relieve his inner depression, the author soothes himself by writing a diary. His diary is full of candid and cruel analyzes of himself, true records of life, and British humor that makes people cry and laugh at the same time. After understanding, you will feel relieved.
