The War-Torn Years (Revised Draft) 昔年兵戈（修改稿）
This is a revised version of the main story of *Warriors of Yesteryear*. The differences from the previous version are very minor, mostly small tweaks to the wording. If this is your first time reading my work, please start here. I hope this version is a little less jarring than the original ^_^ Thank you for stopping by. Theme:

The Years of War: A Prequel 昔年兵戈前传
Weibo: Jiong Ren Mou Yue (not much useful stuff there...) Xiqi raises the banner of rebellion and goes to war with the Yin and Shang. The disciples of Jade Void Palace follow their masters' orders and join Jiang Shang's ranks. Then, I'm too lazy to say more... It's just a story about two troublemakers ending up together. My work is fanfiction based on the Ming-dynasty vernacular fantasy novel Investiture of the Gods. It follows the original as its found

Battles of Yesteryear: Jinjiling 昔年兵戈——金鸡岭
The army marching to overthrow Zhou had just left Mount Qi and reached Golden Rooster Ridge when its vanguard, Huang Tianhua, was unfortunately killed by Gao Jieneng, who was skilled at using centipede wasps. Nezha and Lei Zhenzi, who had gone with him to raid the enemy camp, were also captured by Kong Xuan, their fate unknown. When Yang Jian returned from escorting the provisions and heard the grim news, even he, usually so calm and composed, could not help but feel his Daoist heart cast adrift

War of Yesteryear: (Extra) Who Says We Have No Clothes? 昔年兵戈——（番外）岂曰无衣
On the Investiture Platform, enemy generals who once fought with blood in their eyes have become ghosts that flicker in the wind. With nothing else to do, they wander about, bickering for amusement. Watching them languish in boredom, Huang Tianhua can’t help but recall all those scattered memories... This is a story derived from the original Investiture of the Gods and Journey to the West. I originally hoped to write it as a full-length novel, but I don’t think I can manage that anytime soon, s

Before the army set out to overthrow Zhou reached Sishui Pass, Marshal Jiang split his forces into three routes, sending Huang Feihu and Hong Jin, each with a hundred thousand troops, to capture Qinglong Pass and Jiameng Pass on either side, and open up the supply route. But both armies suffered heavy losses, especially with Huang Tianxiang and Deng Jiugong among the fallen. With reinforcements, the Zhou army finally took Qinglong and Jiameng, then joined forces to attack Sishui Pass. Little di

Weapons of War in Years Past: Mianchi 昔年兵戈——渑池
After several hard-fought battles, the Western Zhou army finally took the Five Passes, only to be stopped before the small county town of Mianchi. The defenders, Zhang Kui and his wife, slew several renowned generals, including Huang Feihu, the Martial Completion King, leaving the Zhou camp badly weakened. Yang Jian, returning to camp with provisions, was once again struck by terrible news. In his distress, he could not help taking his anger out on someone else... This story is inspired by the

Battles of Yore: Under Siege 昔年兵戈——城下
The Zhou army and the feudal lords have joined forces at Mengjin, and their advance on Zhaoge seems imminent. But just when things appear to be going well, the Shang court, stubbornly resisting to the bitter end, has recruited several more monstrous and vicious officers... This is a story derived from the original Investiture of the Gods and Journey to the West. I originally hoped to write it as a long novel, but I don’t think I can manage that anytime soon, so this is really just a fragment. S

War of Yesteryear: Cloudpiercer Pass 昔年兵戈——穿云关
At Chuanyun Pass, the returning Lu Yue set up the Plague Formation, and Jiang Shang once again “submitted to Heaven's will,” becoming trapped inside it. As the army waited without moving, an old man came to the camp seeking help. He asked Yun Zhongzi, who was temporarily in charge of the commander-in-chief's seal, to send a “divine general” to his home to catch a demon. A strange “demon,” an immortal youth encountered along the way, and a divine consort with an extraordinary bearing and evasive

Battles of Yore: 50 Questions About Compatibility 昔年兵戈——相性50问
First, a disclaimer: These 50 questions... are very different in style from the main story, and inevitably include quite a few of the author's personal views. If that's not your thing, please bear with me... Also, readers who haven't read the earlier chapters should proceed with caution, lest you get blindsided... This is a story inspired by the original works Investiture of the Gods and Journey to the West. I originally hoped to write it as a long-form story, but I don't think I can manage th
