I'd rate it 4.8 Points, it's a sweet story. There was some sourness when there was a misunderstanding in the middle.

There is a side story about Wu Shengzi in the main text, please proceed with caution if you are concerned about this, but it is not a fool's errand.

The front part is really nice, but the back part is a bit crazy. I feel like there's a little foreshadowing that I haven't made clear, such as the specific identity of the part.

I gave it three stars because I almost didn't read it until the end. It was about ten chapters short, but I re-ordered the whole book and it took so long that I forgot whether it was good or not. I was catching up to the end, so it should be okay, but I didn't read it all in one go. I don't know if I can give it four stars. It's a sweet book.

There are about a dozen chapters at the end that I haven't read yet, and I'm basically finishing them off with a full review. The first chapter is pretty good, and I've been following this author's work for many years.
