I love love love love Jiaren's novel. It is an earlier work and not as mature as the later novels. I have read 80% of it and watched the ending.

I was quite interested in the setting, but I couldn't feel the spark between the two while reading it, so I was overall uninterested.

I have watched it on and off many times over the past few years, always starting from the beginning. I like the heroine. When I was young, I liked the boyfriend with black hair and green eyes. Later, I fell in love with the heroine and the agent. There will be too much business/company development in the future, and there will be too few love lines. I personally like to read some heart-warming romances, but it is indeed a masterpiece~

The heroine started out as a sober, unmarried and loving younger brother. However, in the first scene, she was worried about a scheming concubine with no emotions. She couldn't protect herself. She relied on the help of others to protect herself. She also wanted to avoid the pain of others. She didn't handle it well. The relationship between the male and female protagonists is young and passionate. It's a pity that the male protagonist doesn't pretend to be this good.

Curator note

I liked it at the beginning, but I resisted the separation of the male and female protagonists. The heroine went to the male protagonist's elders alone. Even though I knew it was a cool novel, the heroine couldn't stand it, but she still resisted this plot. It's a good read.
