A Disastrous Start, the Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctor Makes a Comeback [The 1970s]

Old-fashioned boyfriend Liang Hanzhang & master of Chinese medicine Chi Wan

Chinese medicine practitioner Chi Wan transmigrates to the 1970s, and everything goes wrong from the start.

Her father is missing, her fiance has been stolen, someone else has taken the job she wanted, and a massive flood hits just as she arrives.

Chi Wan is rescued from the flood by Regiment Commander Liang Hanzhang and his soldiers. Liang takes her to a relief center and asks a local to look after her.

After a major disaster, epidemics often follow. Worried about an outbreak, Chi Wan ignores her weak condition and helps medical workers prescribe treatments for the soldiers stationed there, the relief workers, and the local people. She successfully brings an encephalitis B outbreak under control.

When the floodwaters recede, Chi Wan returns to her hometown, only to find her home washed away, leaving nothing but ruins.

The friend who stole her fiance leaves her twenty yuan. “Here, take this to repair your house. Stop pestering my boyfriend from now on.”

The brigade leader's son, who stole the job she wanted, hands her ten yuan. “Forget about getting a job at the commune hospital. Take the money.”

Chi Wan's mother grabs a big broom and tries to chase them away.

Chi Wan stops them. “You're just in time! Pay back the medical fees my father waived for you all these years!”

The villagers soon realize that, after the flood, Chi Wan seems to have become unstoppable.

Not only does she become an expert at preventing and treating encephalitis B, she also becomes the great doctor's prized disciple.

The pitiful girl everyone once knew becomes the most promising young person in the village in the blink of an eye, and even the fiance who was stolen from her regrets it deeply.

Before her house is even rebuilt, Chi Yingchuan, who has been missing for over a month, calls her. “Girl, buy the soonest train ticket to the northeast. I've found you a match here. Come meet him.”

Liang Hanzhang, just about to confess his feelings to Chi Wan: ...
