A Police Officer's Marriage Swap [The Nineties]

Former military officer and rehabilitation therapist

Zhong Yan is discharged from the military after being injured. While he's recuperating at home, Xue Xiao Tang shows up and tells him, "My fiance cheated on me, and the other woman is your girlfriend. Want to team up?"

After learning the truth, the two form a temporary alliance. They make the cheaters pay, then become inseparable themselves.

After that, Zhong Yan thinks of Xue Xiao Tang from time to time, but never sees her again.

When they meet again, it's at a rehabilitation center, where Xue Xiao Tang is giving acupuncture to one of his comrades.

Zhong Yan asks her, "It's been six months. Do you have a boyfriend?"

"No."

"Then would you make another pact with me? If possible, let it last from now until death."

The first time they met, Xue Xiao Tang proposed their pact. This time, Zhong Yan decides to be the one to ask.

"Well, we can give it a try. But I want the right to end the pact whenever I like. Let's sign and seal it first." That's Xue Xiao Tang's answer.

This story includes crime-solving, but the main focus is still on their careers.

P.S. They marry first and fall in love later, and save each other in the process.
