The Peak of Bullshitting [Crime Investigation]

[Sister story to The King Behind the Scenes]

Forensic investigation expert Shen Nongqing receives word from the ministry: a male corpse, believed to be that of a murderer who escaped years ago, has been found in the Gobi Desert in the northwest.

He leads a task force to the scene, where they find an ID card.

The name on it is Cheng Qulan.

Ten years ago, Cheng Qulan was his neighbor, an orphan taken in by the Shen family, the younger brother Shen had watched grow up, and once, his lover.

One of his subordinates can't help asking, "Director Shen, do you know this man?"

Shen Nongqing: "We used to fight every day to see whether my Imperial City roots were tougher or his Oriental Pearl was bigger. I'd recognize that bastard even as ashes."

Subordinate: ?

Shen Nongqing gives a cold laugh, turns around, and calls that bastard surnamed Cheng. "Idiot, you lost your ID!"
