[Harry Potter] I Hate That James Is Such a Blockhead

A note before we begin: a Marauders-era story, breaking up the parents' canon pairing.

There are so few stories about James Potter, so I'm writing one myself.

James Potter and Rebecca White grew up together, sharing a friendship closer than anyone else's.

Then, all of a sudden, that friendship changed into something else.

When James Potter held up the Golden Snitch and flashed her a confident, triumphant smile, raising an eyebrow, Rebecca suddenly felt like fireworks had exploded beside her ear.

She realized that James Potter was actually pretty handsome. Maybe she'd started to fall for her best friend.

Then she realized James Potter didn't like her that way. He even thought she'd been clinging to him too much lately and keeping him from playing Quidditch.

Then Rebecca realized he seemed to like Lily Evans.

Well, that wasn't so bad, Rebecca reassured herself. Lily Evans was a lovely girl, after all. Her first love was unrequited, and unrequited love meant heartbreak. No big deal.

Oh, thank goodness she hadn't confessed.

Taking the advice of another close friend, Rebecca decided to gradually step back and stop getting in the way of James and his love life.

But James started to feel that something was wrong. His Rebecca seemed to be about to start dating someone else.

No, no. His Rebecca was someone else's Rebecca now.

Danger, danger, danger! His childhood sweetheart was about to lose to a newcomer!

[Cold, rational genius with a high IQ X sunny, love-struck Cristiano Ronaldo]

A note before we begin: I'm a Cristiano Ronaldo fan. He's just the kind of love-struck person who wears his heart on his sleeve. What bad intentions could he possibly have?

Blurb:

Two geniuses were born in Funchal, Madeira: one named Cristiano Ronaldo, the other named Sofia Leite.

In interviews, Cristiano Ronaldo is a football superstar, a domineering CEO, a crybaby, and a genius from Madrid.

But to Sofia, he is the only person who brings a spark of warmth to the mechanical heart that makes her so cold and rational.

Sofia Leite, a mechanical engineering genius with an IQ of 187, was abandoned as a child. Her cold rationality is the wall she uses to shut out the world.

Cristiano is pure and passionate, wears his emotions openly, and is full of feeling.

One day, his vivid, burning love crashes into her cold, orderly way of understanding the world.

He is the one person connected to her, the link in her circuit, pouring his vibrant emotions into the closed loop of her mind.

For a mind created without empathy, he completes the feelings and tenderness she has never known.
