[Prince of Tennis] The Fifth Season

If anything is the work of heaven, then Niou Masaharu believes that meeting his 100% girl on the first day of school in April was fate.

"You might not believe this, but you're 100% my type!"

A young con-artist boy delivered a line straight out of a romance novel to a girl with a hime cut. Just as expected, she asked him if he had been reading too much Haruki Murakami.

"Puri. So, kouhai, would you do me the honor of exchanging names? I'm Niou Masaharu, from Class 2-B."

The girl pressed her lips together and smiled shyly, her voice tiny. You'd never guess that in the future she'd grab him by the collar with enough force to snap his wrist.

"I'm Todo Shino, Class 1-A. I'm good at karate."

Looking back, the girl's first words and introduction had already given something away. Unfortunately, Niou Masaharu was taken in by her act, so it was only inevitable that he'd later get in over his head and sign all sorts of contracts.

As one of his partners, whose name he prefers not to reveal, put it: He had it coming.

A story about a boy con artist and a fake timid girl.

Why is she "fake"? Well, that brings us to the tragic tale of how he got in over his head.

PS: This shares a setting with the story next door, "The Rules for Playing a Fiancée."

Theme: Study hard and keep improving every day.
