“What are you talking about? I’ve never been an ace, so how would I know?” Masaharu replied as he bounced a ball.

“Damn it!! Even all-knowing Masaharu doesn’t know?”

“Ahem... I may never have been an ace, but I’ve seen plenty of them~ Eijun, come watch Spring High next year. You might find the answer you’re looking for there!”

Mainly volleyball, with a crossover cast.

Ohtai doesn’t get much attention in the original volleyball story, so I can only add some details of my own while trying to stay faithful to the source.
