Villains are a special kind of stumbling block provided for the growth of a hero protagonist. When the hero encounters an opportunity, they kill and loot. When the hero is running for his life, they pursue him relentlessly. When the hero is betrayed, they kick him while he's down. But in the end, the hero always escapes danger and repays the villains a hundred or a thousand times over for all the suffering they inflicted, leaving them shattered and wishing they were dead.
After finishing their missions, the villains are supposed to retire in triumph, take on new identities, and live carefree lives with the generous rewards from the System.
That was how it was supposed to go.
The villains grabbed the self-proclaimed System by the neck and cheerfully agreed.
Later, following the scripts provided by the System, the hero who was supposed to turn the tables became a slave. The hero who was supposed to escape was imprisoned and humiliated. The hero who was supposed to return in triumph was repeatedly suppressed...
The System clung to the villains' legs in tears, sobbing that this wasn't what they'd agreed to and asking why they weren't following the plan from the very beginning.
The villain watched the System and slowly curled his lips into a smile. Sorry, poor little System. How could a safe and happy life possibly be as much fun as going up against the hero?
The System panicked, then smiled. Fine. Since you're the villain, could you please take the hero out of your arms first?
The person in the villain's arms stirred at his slightest movement and murmured a question.
The villain naturally forgot the System's brokenhearted complaints after leaving it locked in a dark room all night. He rolled over, cuddled the hero, who had been kept busy all night, and went back to sleep.
(The above correspond to Worlds One, Two, and Four. Introductions to each world follow.)
#
World One: (Cultivation) Villainous sect brother who kills for treasure, top x Rooted-from-the-bottom righteous hero, bottom
1303: On the surface, you're Tianhong Sect's graceful and noble senior brother, but behind closed doors you're a despicable villain. Your mission is simple: fail three times to seize treasure.
The villain smiled and agreed. 1303 was so taken in by that smile that it only came to its senses once the chain symbolizing submission was already fastened around the hero's neck.
#
World Two: (Modern city) Villainous rival who pursues relentlessly, top x Hero who keeps a low profile while seeking revenge, bottom
1303: You're the adopted son of the leader of a criminal organization. You handle pursuits and interrogations. Your mission is to capture the hero, but let him escape.
Villain: So this slippery little mouse was hiding here.
Before 1303 could react, the villain kicked open the door, picked up the soaking-wet hero who had fallen into the water, took him to his own villa, and tied him up in the basement to torment him as he pleased.
#
World Three: (Apocalypse) Immoral villainous base leader, top x Upright hero who resists, bottom
1303: Before the apocalypse, you were a shrewd businessman. Afterward, you're a ruthless leader. Your mission is to oppress the ordinary people in your base, provoke the hero's outrage, and ultimately get him to topple you and build the first private base.
The villain naturally wouldn't accept the System's losing deal. Watching the spirited hero return from a mission, he smiled faintly and, right in front of everyone, planted his seed in the hero's heart.
#
World Four: (Modern city) Villainous rich second-generation who kicks a man while he's down, top x Hero who makes a comeback and delivers face-slapping, bottom
1303: You're the family's most beloved youngest son. You're a spoiled, dissolute playboy who does whatever you want. You hate the hero, so after he goes bankrupt, you keep suppressing him. All you have to do now is maintain the status quo, and your mission will be complete.
Villain: Damn it, who the hell's been picking on him?
1303: ?
Villain: You know why I turn around and walk away whenever I see him? I got rejected when I confessed to him. Who's twisting that into something malicious? Damn it, if anyone dares bully him, they must have it way too easy.
Villain: Who doesn't like an uncle with a slim waist, long legs, and a great ass? You all are, *#?, /@
1303 silently hit the mute button.
#
World Five: (Infinite-flow) Naturally cruel villainous dungeon monster, top x Noble, selfless hero captain, bottom
1303: You're a dungeon boss. You're powerful, and humans find you difficult to deal with. Your mission is to lose to the hero in the final battle.
The villain, the villain had just been born. It knew nothing. It only heard the word "food." When it saw the hero, who smelled delicious, the pitch-black mass transformed into an adorable, snow-white human baby and threw itself into the hero's arms. Even though the hero refused it again and again, it stubbornly opened its mouth and bit down.
#
World Six: (Alternate history) Incompetent, decadent last emperor, top x Hero who rebels and unifies the realm, bottom
1303: You're an incompetent, decadent tyrant. Your mission is simple: lie on the throne, casually kill a few ministers, issue a few decrees, and wait for the hero to come and take your head.
The villain rolled over in the incense-filled palace and went right back to sleep.
1303: Hey, hey, hey! Can you hear me? Hey!
1303 shouted himself hoarse through the System's loudspeaker, but the villain still acted as if the System didn't exist.
It wasn't until the army breached the border and the plot reached its designated point that the villain suddenly rose, eyes bloodshot, and grabbed a minister by the neck. "He's not dead, right? He's alive! He was never dead!"
#
World Seven: (Wuxia) Lustful young master from a martial arts family, top x Poor, money-loving swordsman hero, bottom
1303: You're a lecher. Your mission is to harass the hero's younger sister, get beaten black and blue by the hero, and eventually become his cash machine.
The villain watched the hero's sword fly over and knock away the hand he'd been about to use to grab the younger sister. Wiping his drool, he said, "No wonder this young master was willing to be a cash machine. Damn, now this is a real beauty..."
#
World Eight: (Western fantasy) Calm, greedy villainous dragon, top x Unyielding hero, bottom
1303: You're a dragon. You kidnapped the princess, and your mission is to duel the newly appointed hero and make his name on the continent of Reizedeli as the Dragon-Slaying Warrior.
The villainous dragon, who had been about to fall asleep and was woken up by the commotion: I didn't kidnap the princess.
1303: How is that possible? The princess is right there in that treasure chest!
Dragon and System stared at each other.
In the end, the dragon insisted on returning the princess, ignoring the System's plot.
Unexpectedly, it ran into the hero on the way. The dragon couldn't be bothered with the hassle of revealing its identity, but gradually became captivated by the hero's eyes.
The dragon thought, These are the most dazzling silver moonstones in the world. The dragon decided that, no matter what it took, it would bring the man back to its lair.

World Nine: (Interstellar) Self-serving villainous noble, top x Honest, gullible mecha mechanic hero, bottom
1303: You're a noble who puts profit above all else. The hero is a mecha mechanic from a low-tier planet. Having grown up surrounded by the extravagance of the Capital Star, of course you look down on this commoner. Your mission is to mock the hero, question his skills, and stir up gossip at the mecha academy, then let him win the whole school over with his outstanding abilities in such a hostile environment.
After listening, the villain readily let go of the hero's chin and abruptly changed his aggressive tone to one of extreme kindness. "Classmate, if there's anything you need, just come to me."
An episodic novel, top-focused, one-on-one romance.
1. No arguments about splitting up the couple or switching their roles, and no claims that they don't deserve each other.
2. The author has no particular preferences about relationship roles and is a pure-love warrior.
3. Some villains really are bad people in terms of morality, since they're villains, but they won't cross the legal boundaries of their world.
4. The cover was made by a good friend. Thanks to them.
Theme: True love can overcome any obstacle.
Start chanting: You can be my food, lover, father and rival at the same time~
