When Ji Xiao was sixteen, his father suddenly came into a fortune. The family moved to Kyoto. Ji's dad was law-abiding and didn't gamble or chase women. Out of nostalgia for the fishing village where he grew up, he invested in a few marine development research companies, and happened to catch the wave of the times. In short, Ji Xiao became a rich second-generation kid.
With no need to worry about his future anymore, rich kid Ji Xiao immediately lost himself in Kyoto's glittering nightlife.
Then one day, while he was singing and drinking at a karaoke bar with his delinquent friends, one of them suddenly leaned over and said he wanted to show them the world.
Ji Xiao scoffed. What could there be to see? He grabbed a bottle of liquor and went to take a look.
Staggering along like a drunk, he ignored his friend's frantic attempts to stop him and shoved the door open with a bang.
Everyone inside turned to look at him.
Only one person, sitting casually in the far corner with his head down, looking at his phone, didn't spare him a glance.
Ji Xiao: Hey, this kid's got some nerve.
So he walked straight over, ready to see who had more nerve.
Unfortunately, he'd just downed several bottles, and his legs were unsteady. He staggered over, and as soon as he reached the man, he tripped on the corner of the table. With a thump, he pinned him flat against the sofa.
Everyone around them gasped. Ji Xiao didn't know they were gasping because they were afraid, or he wouldn't have propped himself up, examined the man's face for a moment, then patted it and slurred flirtatiously, "Damn, you're seriously hot."

Ji Xiao stood anxiously at the entrance to the mountain road, holding the gifts his father had shoved into his hands.
An unassuming Porsche Cayenne slowly pulled to a stop, and Meng Nanfei's strikingly intimidating face appeared in the back seat.
Meng Nanfei extended one hand outside the car. His long, slender fingers tapped lightly as he asked in an amused tone, "What is it?"
Ji Xiao immediately scurried over to apologize, bowing his head ingratiatingly. His lowered gaze swept over Meng Nanfei's face, then landed on the fingers outside the window: pale fingers against the black car, faint veins showing beneath the skin.
Ji Xiao: Damn, he really is insanely hot.

Meng Nanfei, the eccentric young master of the Meng family, had recently acquired a sidekick. By now, everyone in Kyoto knew about it.
The sidekick followed Meng Nanfei everywhere. If Meng Nanfei said one thing, he never said another. He could turn a single word from Meng Nanfei into a shower of praise. If Meng Nanfei fell into the water, he was the first to jump in and save him...
At first, everyone just found it amusing, thinking Meng Nanfei had found himself an obedient dog. Later, though, they began to feel that something wasn't quite right.
For one thing, Meng Nanfei rarely went to drinking parties unrelated to business anymore. Also, whenever he went out to have fun, he turned back to ask Ji Xiao, who was standing beside him, what he thought first. And when someone sent young men or women to Meng Nanfei, he would nervously look at Ji Xiao before doing anything...
Then everyone understood. They took a good look at Ji Xiao, the nouveau riche's son, and felt a chill run down their spines. This wasn't a dog. Ji Xiao, who catered to Meng Nanfei's every whim, kept his eyes fixed on him, and the dark glint in his gaze clearly belonged to a hungry wolf eyeing the meat in front of it.
Probably a groveling, devoted pursuer gong (not the typical kind, it's all a calculated act) and a catlike shou who loves being pursued (though he doesn't realize he's fallen into a trap).
1. No discourse about breaking up the couple, switching their roles, or either of them not being good enough for the other.
2. The author has no preferences about character roles and is a pure-love warrior.
