○ Switchy romance in the entertainment world: a talent show turns a straight guy gay
○ A flirty, naturally clueless type vs. a gloomy, naturally wicked type
○ Scheduled to start in June 2027
Before Zhu Ran joined the talent show, his manager repeatedly drilled one thing into him: he absolutely had to come back with a ship partner. After all, he was hopeless at both singing and dancing, naturally clueless, and had nothing going for him but his looks. Without a ship to promote, he had no future.
But Zhu Ran was an eighteen-year-old straight guy who cared about nothing but studying. He was too afraid to even date in high school, so how was he supposed to know how to flirt with men?
He had only just started learning the tricks of fanservice when the contestants onstage, all bizarrely shaped and ugly as sin, started dancing and nearly kissed each other?!
My eyes! My eyes!
Please! This isn't your N-on-P honeymoon suite!!!
Zhu Ran buried his whole face in his hands and silently screamed. Suddenly, the handsome, stone-faced guy next to him grabbed him by the back of the head and pulled him out. "Don't cover your face. The cameras are rolling, and you look great."
Huh?
Zhu Ran stared blankly at the name tag on the other guy's chest: "He Yu." Then inspiration struck. You're the fish I'm going to hook!
He Yu was fed up. He was fed up with the company forcing him into the talent show, fed up with not being allowed to use his phone, and fed up with socializing with idiots who were both stupid and mean. Every day, he either wanted to blow up the production crew or fly off the handle.
The only thing he found even remotely interesting was cooking with a certain little pig who could eat anything. He Yu had even started finding the bland diet meals delicious.
It was just that this person seemed to be trying to hook him.
He Yu wondered whether he should hint that he was completely straight. But then he watched Zhu Ran charge into his arms with the look of a man ready to face death... and found it kind of fun?
Hmm...
He could worry about the whole straight-guy thing later.
Time for some disclaimers!
1. Two straight guys try to hook and turn each other, one-on-one, each other's first love, a fluffy little story with no logic.
2. The talent-show system draws on and blends elements from real-world shows, but the characters and plot have no real-life counterparts and are not allusions to anyone. Any similarities are purely coincidental.
3. Both leads have strong professional ethics. They won't actually date while working as idols, so the romance develops slowly.
If any of the above bothers you, please don't read.
