[A dignified and graceful wise ruler X a bewitching, scheming favored consort]
In the winter of 1999, Zhong Wei, who had gone to Shanghai to make her own way, was struck by a drunk driver's car late at night and transmigrated to the Eastern Han dynasty before 79 AD. By chance, she became Lady Jia, who had yet to enter Yong'an Palace or marry Emperor Ming of Han, Liu Zhuang.
A history novice who had never read the Book of the Later Han, she became the granddaughter of Jia Fu, one of the Twenty-Eight Generals of the Yuntai and a founding hero, the Marquis of Jiaodong.
For the future of the Ma and Jia families, Lady Jia was to be given to the future emperor to strengthen the position of her maternal aunt, Empress Ma, who had no children of her own.
At this moment, Zhong Wei still had no idea that, as Lady Jia, she would give birth to Liu Da, the future Emperor Zhang of Han; accompany Liu Zhuang as he ascended the throne; witness the completion of the Three Yong Halls; experience the rebellion cases of Prince Liu Ying of Chu and Prince Liu Jing of Shanyang; and accompany her husband on his inspection tour of Chang'an, his journey to Xiapi to plow the imperial fields, and his campaigns against the Xiongnu under Dou Gu that brought peace to the Western Regions.
She also had no idea that her son would be adopted by the virtuous and benevolent Empress Ma, leaving her side to become heir to the Later Han Empire.
Emperor Ming doted on Lady Jia and loved the children she bore. But beneath the strict rules of clan and ritual, the joys of intimacy and affection, the pride of being showered with favor and power, and the pain of childbirth were all borne by Zhong Wei, a woman from the end of the twentieth century
Until, twenty-five years later, she returned to the modern world.
With a solemn heart, she revisited Luoyang, the White Horse Temple, and the ruins of the Han and Wei capital of Luoyang, then returned to Xianjie Mausoleum, where she had once followed behind her husband.
Every story begins at Yong'an Crown Prince's Palace in the thirty-second year of Jianwu.
[Note]
1. This is an ensemble story told in the first person as "I," with some third-person narration as well. It involves time travel to the Han dynasty. Readers who insist on both leads being virgins, please don't read.
2. Updates are very regular.
3. The modern-era story takes up little space, appearing mostly as interludes and background.
4. This draws on multiple biographies in the Book of the Later Han. The historical trajectory has not been changed. Gaps have been filled in while respecting the historical sources. Some details differ from history; references will be noted at the end. History buffs, please don't argue.
Theme: A modern woman collides with the history of the Eastern Han. Amid an unknown fate, she creates opportunities and experiences life, ultimately returning to the modern world transformed.
I always have a bad feeling that things are about to turn from prosperity to decline. I really hope it's my imagination.
Damn, can't we really let the male protagonist live longer? When I think that Brother Strong will be saying goodbye in a few years, I feel so reluctant to leave. I also want to read their story for a while 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I really can't bear to see Zhuangzi die so early. Don't let him die early. Let him live longer.
You should love yourself and try your best to renew yourself
Not enough [covering face and peeking] Not enough! Is it good to have a big day [rabbit head with vertical ears]
The author writes really well, I look forward to the next plot! The ending must not be as sad as in history, madam 🙏 🙏 🙏
Cute little babies, it's a bit of a hindrance for Brother Strong to stay here, and Sister Zhong has to serve him during confinement.
More, more, more, I really like the daily life of Xiao Wu and her mother
Princess Dongping's husband——
The super fat man is ugly, has many lustful children, and gives tribute to his concubine
No wonder she hoped he would die soon
