In her previous life, Lin Yuanhang became an agent through a mix-up. She worked diligently and tirelessly, cleaning up after the small-time artists under her who caused one mess after another. She thought she'd become a seasoned, level-headed office drone. Then, on her way to angrily confront one of her artists after a scandal ruined their career, she fell down a flight of stairs. When she opened her eyes again, she was back on the eve of her university graduation.
In her new life, she thought this was Heaven giving her a chance to undo her regrets. She tore up the job offer from her previous company and swore she'd never become an agent again.
The next day, she ran into sixteen-year-old Cen Zheng at a film and television studio. Cen Zheng was still an extra. Lin Yuanhang helped her get her wages back from a bullying production manager, and Cen Zheng stuck to her. In the end, Lin Yuanhang found herself following the same old path into the agency business.
In her previous life, after more than a decade of struggling her way up from being an extra, Cen Zheng finally made a stunning debut. Two films she starred in were nominated for awards, and at the same time, they brightened the darkest period of Lin Yuanhang's life. After Cen Zheng's brief moment in the spotlight, her disappearance from the public eye attracted little attention. Only Lin Yuanhang, as an industry insider, vaguely heard that Cen Zheng had said the wrong thing and offended some big boss.
This time, looking at the frail, bony girl before her, with her bright eyes, Lin Yuanhang wanted Cen Zheng to act in the roles she loved and say the things she wanted to say. That meant Lin Yuanhang had to become the strongest, most steadfast mountain behind her.
Sixteen-year-old Cen Zheng boldly announced that she had an agent. She paid no mind to the ridicule around her and just kept striding forward, from extra to leading actress, from the small screen to the big screen. Lin Yuanhang, too, went from splitting a hundred yuan daily wage fifty-fifty with her to investing in scripts and starting a company.
In the end, when Cen Zheng, winner of every major award, took the stage to receive the highest honor, Zhengyuan Media had become a leader in the film and television industry. It was a legend the two of them had built together.
