This is an ultra-short story, a beginner's writing project. I posted it before, but deleted it because I hadn't signed a contract. Now I'm posting it again.
Warning!!! The ending really is a BE, though it could also be considered open-ended. The earlier chapters are warm and sweet; the angst starts in Chapter 22, and it ends in Chapter 25. I hurt too, and can't write prolonged heartbreak, so I made it a brief, sharp pain instead. If you're afraid of pain, please don't read it.
This story takes place in a fully realized world, so the BE ending won't be changed. Any bonus chapters will only add more happy everyday moments from the past. As I said, if you're afraid of pain, please don't read it!
