Shen Fubai, a notorious top-tier star whose acting was so bad it enraged heaven and earth, is banished into a power-fantasy novel to play Xie Jinheng’s black-lotus master.

The good news: Xie Jinheng, who will one day become a god of slaughter, hasn’t gone astray yet. He’s a gentle, timid boy.

The bad news: Shen Fubai has no magical power whatsoever. He’s completely useless, yet he bears the title of the greatest sect leader under heaven.

Shen Fubai: ...Someone who gets a high fever from a breeze is supposed to play the greatest under heaven? Me?

The System reassures him: Don’t worry, I’ll help you.

Being the greatest under heaven comes with plenty of problems.

When the demons attack the sect, Shen Fubai says compassionately, “If I make a move, countless lives will be lost. Disciple, you handle it.”

Xie Jinheng replies gently, “As you command, Master.”

He drives back the demon horde in three moves. From then on, demons go out of their way to avoid Shen Fubai.

When an old enemy challenges Shen Fubai to a fight to the death, Shen Fubai politely declines. “Beat my disciple first.”

Xie Jinheng steps in front of him. “Come on.”

The enemy hasn’t even drawn his sword before Xie Jinheng nearly crushes his throat.

Shen Fubai is quite pleased. He’s the master of a power-fantasy hero. Who would dare say he isn’t the greatest under heaven?

Everyone in the Mystic Realm worships Saint Fubai as a god. He has the greatest cultivation under heaven, yet pities all living beings and never makes a move. Even the disciples he teaches are elegant and refined, humble and gentle, with unfathomable cultivation.

Before long, countless people flock to Fubai Sect to become disciples. Shen Fubai happily accepts them all.

The night before the disciple induction ceremony.

The boy who is always gentle and smiling, and too timid to even raise his voice, emerges from the darkness and pins him against the headboard. His gaze is tender, but his actions are rough. “I’ve taken care of so many problems for you, Master. Surely I deserve something in return?”

Shen Fubai’s eyes widen in silence, but he has no strength to resist.

The next morning, the System asks him, “How was it?”

Shen Fubai: ...Forget it. If I’m going to lie flat, I can lie flat anywhere. A bed will do just fine.

The System: ???
