I can write a full-length story now, yay!
My take on a goofy otome story. I'll start it if enough people want to read it.
Blurb
What? Butterfly Blue got greedy and sold the rights to The King's Avatar to a game company, Diejiang, which turned it into an otome game???
As a longtime fan of The King's Avatar, you grumbled and cursed, but still booked and downloaded the game. After all, it's Diejiang, the leading company in otome games!!!
Sure, games adapted from licensed properties like this usually flop, but you still couldn't resist the temptation of dating Ye Xiu / Zhou Zekai / Huang Shaotian / Yu Wenzhou / Han Wenqing / Zhang Jiale... (There are too many to list, but that doesn't mean the others aren't in it.)
And then... nothing.
Where was the promised otome game? Why was this another game that tricked you into becoming a soldier? QAQ
You got hopelessly hooked on the Glory battle system in The King's Avatar otome game, completely forgetting why you'd started playing in the first place.
You diligently spent money on gacha pulls and grinded the game, maxing out every male lead's affection to get the ultimate Glory championship trophy. You gradually stopped bothering to check the male leads' social media posts, texts, and calls.
After finally finishing the latest Glory Challenge Tournament and winning the server championship, you looked with satisfaction at your account, with every stat maxed out. That's when you transmigrated.
Well, transmigrating wasn't so bad. The King's Avatar was a wholesome work for all ages, and the world wasn't much different from the one you'd come from. It wasn't as if you'd transmigrated into The King's Avatar's game world.
That is, until you went to pay your respects at the Happy Internet Cafe and Ye Xiu, whom you'd never met before, cornered you against a wall.
"Why didn't you answer your phone?"
Your Ye-ge smiled, looking perfectly harmless, but for some reason you felt a chill.
You thought of how every male lead's affection was maxed out and realized you might be in trouble.
Otome, second-person POV!
This is fundamentally a goofy story, so apologies for the out-of-character characterization!
After you transmigrate, you won't compete in tournaments. You've learned the hard way how getting too absorbed in a game can ruin your love life. You'll only play Glory casually (you do have an account with every stat maxed out, after all), and won't take part in the original story's main plot. You'll only date the male leads (cue the love rivalry) in the gaps between the original tournaments, and won't keep them from playing the game!
There is no main pairing in the main story, but each male lead will have an alternate-route story.
Theme: Dating shouldn't get in the way of gaming!
