Everyone knew that at Halion Pes Military Academy, in the lower levels of the Black Tower, there was a useless Guide who was all looks and no substance. He couldn't be tested for spiritual power, had no spirit entity, and had even offended an important figure from the capital planet.

All the sentinels and Guides in the Black Tower avoided him like the plague, and some even kicked him when he was down.

But for some reason, the number of people who opposed him kept shrinking, while more and more people rallied behind him.

Then newer, more advanced spiritual power testing equipment was developed, and every sentinel and Guide had to be tested. That useless Guide made a stunning debut, testing as the once-in-a-century S-rank.

Later, the Guide uncovered the truth about what had happened more than a decade earlier, exposed the capital planet's powerful figure and his heinous crimes against humanity, and won a better future for countless oppressed people.

After being proven wrong again and again, the people of the interstellar age hesitated, then couldn't help asking: At least it's true that he doesn't have a spirit entity, right?

Little did they know that, in an unnoticed corner, someone had an arm around the Guide's waist and was gently biting the tip of his lip before murmuring, "When are you going to tell them I'm your spirit entity?"

The beautiful Guide in his arms blushed, breathing softly. He didn't answer, but instead returned the kiss with even greater fervor.

Anyone passing by would have noticed the inseparable couple in the corner,

who clearly had the same face.

Ever since Yan Jian Ci awakened as a Guide, there had always been a voice in his head, chattering away until he almost thought he was mentally ill and hearing things.

Later, he learned that the voice, so similar to his own, came from his spirit entity.

His spirit entity was neither beast nor bird, but a living person with thoughts and a consciousness of his own.

This person, who had appeared out of nowhere from within him, called himself Yan Zhi Yin. He had the same face, habits, and thoughts as Yan Jian Ci.

There were only two differences between him and his spirit entity.

First, his spirit entity was flirtatious and frivolous, and loved teasing his cool, aloof Host.

Second, his spirit entity seemed to harbor ill intentions toward him, concealing a wicked plan.

His spirit entity wanted to seize control of his body and trap him at the bottom of his mental sea forever, never to rise again.

And Yan Zhi Yin readily admitted it.

But as time went on, Yan Zhi Yin felt his "wicked plan" gradually taking on a different meaning.

When he lay on the ground, covered in wounds,

while Yan Jian Ci stood with one foot on his shoulder, eyes lowered as he coolly announced his victory in their battle for control,

Yan Zhi Yin raised a hand and gripped the ankle of the foot pressing down on him, his eyes burning as if he'd finally caught the prey he'd pursued all his life.

He readily conceded, "This time, you win."

And he had a new goal.

To keep this person imprisoned in his arms forever, their cheeks pressed together, lips and tongues entwined.
