(The full manuscript is 260,000 words, and I'm 260,000/300,000 words in. My next book will start after this one.)
Wild by nature, aloof Daddy Marshal Alpha x formerly unhinged and cold-blooded, now gloomy little cat, gorgeous Omega
Everyone on planet Sa'e knew that Ryan's ace mercenary, Qin Wei, was a poisonous poppy.
He was breathtakingly beautiful, yet utterly cold-blooded. His gland abilities and combat talent were both exceptionally powerful, making him the perfect weapon.
When he was eighteen, he ran into a man he couldn't shake off during a mission.
The man was arrogant, conceited, and unbearably self-important, like a piece of gum that just wouldn't come off.
Qin Wei was sick of him. He wanted to put a bullet through him countless times.
And eventually, he really did.
The night before, they'd been tangled together in bed, clinging to each other until death. Shang Ceheng's long, strong fingers had wrapped around Qin Wei's pale, slender ankle, stroking it.
Just like Qin Wei's finger stroking the trigger now.
He watched the man who had shielded him fall, his heart numb.
--- Shang Ceheng didn't die.
Eight years later, he became the youngest and most unshakable marshal in the Federation.
A decorated war hero, revered by all.
Except he no longer remembered Qin Wei.
Qin Wei stood in a corner of the victory banquet, watching him surrounded by people.
The Alpha who had once smiled and trusted him with his back now looked at everyone with casual indifference, and at him as a complete stranger.
Only then did Qin Wei realize that his own clean, decisive shot had shattered the only place he could ever return to.
Eight years later, the beautiful young man, whose looks were almost aggressively striking, appeared before Shang Ceheng during his heat. He deliberately sat on the marshal's lap, tilted his head to expose his long neck, and addressed him by name: “Shang Ceheng, bite me.”
A few days later, the young man who had asked him to mark him at a bar appeared at the military's most prestigious commissioning ceremony, becoming the marshal's adjutant.
Later, someone in the military witnessed a scene:
The new adjutant, handsome, aloof, and sharp, had reddened eyes as he cornered the marshal in a hallway, rose onto his toes, and tilted his head up to beg for a kiss.
Shang Ceheng gripped his waist and pulled him back by half an inch, his expression unreadable. “What exactly are you after?”
Qin Wei hooked an arm around the back of his neck and pulled him close again, murmuring:
“I want to be the marshal's spouse.”
# Killed her husband once, and now the wildcat is a housecat
# Unhinged little cat's pursuit of his husband: flirtatious on the outside.jpg, anxiously clawing at the walls inside
# Eight years ago, one little cat: “I hate clingy gum!”
Eight years later: “Brother Heng, gum isn't any fun if it doesn't stick...”
# Marshal: When someone climbed onto my lap, his glands were trembling. He smelled so good...
# He lost his memories, but his Daddy instincts are still there #
# A record of how an unhinged, venomous beauty became a gloomy, clingy little cat
--- He forgot that I shot him, but still remembers how to catch me.
P.S.:
Older top, both virgins, 1v1.
The main story takes place eight years later, with the bottom pursuing the top. In their memories, the top pursued the bottom. In truth, they have always been strongly attracted to each other, and neither has to work very hard to win the other over. Their dynamic is mostly teasing and tension. Don't ask, they're just a couple being couple-y.
There's more to the bottom shooting the top, and the top regains his memories later.
The bottom used to be a mercenary and went through a period when he lacked a normal social outlook. He can be extreme in how he handles things, and he isn't a conventional righteous hero. Please don't read if you can't accept that.
Sweet and sour, with no angst in the romance. Once they're officially together, they dote on each other. Not recommended for readers who are very particular about which character gets the upper hand.
Theme: Forgetting is so we can love each other better
