Casual Player (Full-Dive)

Blurb dated 2025-8-2. Scheduled to start posting in the first half of 2027. Welcome to add it to your reading list!

Yu Luo was a famous esports player in the keyboard-based MMORPG Apocalypse, mastering every mage specialization. His fans called him the "Mage King."

At twenty, just after winning the world championship, he was in a car accident and became a vegetative patient.

When he opened his eyes again, seven years had passed.

Keyboard-based MMORPGs had faded into history, and the full-dive MMORPG Apocalypse was in open beta.

Yu Luo put on a headset and entered the full-dive game.

Competing had been exhausting. This time, he only wanted to be a carefree casual player, farming, fishing, and earning a little pocket money to support himself.

A player named "Starfall" appeared in the new server. He wore a tattered mage robe and carried a brightly colored staff, learning every kind of mage skill: water, fire, wind, lightning, light, and darkness.

The other mage players tried to talk him out of it. "Bro, you can't just learn skills at random like that. You need to specialize in one thing if you want to be strong!"

Starfall smiled. "It's fine. I'm just a casual player, only playing for fun~"

Before long, this casual player accidentally stole a world boss from a major guild, broke a dungeon record, and turned the entire new server upside down.

"I was gathering herbs in the valley. You attacked me first, so I was just defending myself when I killed you."

"I want to fish by the lake. Could you two guilds stop fighting long enough to let me through?"

"Sorry, you were all fighting until you died, and the boss came to me with almost no health left. I just happened to pick up the scraps~"

The major guilds: "..."

"Where did this great demon come from?!"

"I heard he's... a casual player??"

Later, this casual player's herbalism, mining, fishing, forging, and tailoring skills all reached the maximum level.

His homestead became the best design example for players across the server to admire, and he even opened a full-dive amusement park there.

The equipment he crafted had godlike stats. Top-tier orange gear was fiercely contested by elite players at auction, with prices exceeding a million.

He opened shops in the centers of the commercial districts in every major city, becoming a famous merchant guild leader known across the server as "Boss Luo."

After a while, Yu Luo, now the richest player in the game, smiled and said, "Being a casual player and counting money every day is so much fun~~"

Everyone else: "Boss, your happiness is built on the suffering of countless people!"

1. A full-dive Western fantasy game. The protagonist is a mage who masters all elements: ice, fire, wind, lightning, light, and darkness. He takes the "lifestyle player" route, farming, fishing, crafting equipment, and running a merchant guild to make money.

2. This story and The Young Lord of Miaojiang share the same world. The protagonist here was Apocalypse's S9 champion, but he wasn't competing in the same season as the protagonist of the other book. The two protagonists will meet in an extra chapter as a little Easter egg, but the main stories are not connected.

3. A seemingly casual player who is actually a great demon bottom x a seemingly ruthless assassin who is actually a devoted fanboy top.

4. Thank you, dears, for your support. Updates daily. I'll let you know if I need to take a day off. Mwah!
