Becoming an Emperor for the Ages Starts with Binding the Fallen Kingdom System

Yan Xuan transmigrated into the body of an ancient emperor, but the people were impoverished and the country so poor they had to eat dirt. He couldn't help despairing over a world that didn't even have soda to enjoy while lounging around.

Then a Nation-Ending System fell from the sky: "As long as you're deposed, you can take ten billion in cash back to the modern world."

Yan Xuan: "Something that good can happen?"

"I don't know how to govern, but surely making a mess of things can't be that hard."

Being a tyrant wasn't difficult, but Yan Xuan didn't want to hurt anyone, so he found "another way."

"Didn't the Sui Dynasty collapse because it built a canal? Then I'll build one too!"

He gave the order, and work began.

But once the canal was finished, it irrigated the fields, revitalized the economy between north and south, made the people rich, and strengthened the country.

Everyone at court and across the land said, "Your Majesty is wise!"

Yan Xuan: "?"

"Then I'll start a war. Picking a fight with the barbarians should do the trick."

But the soldiers fought bravely, expanded the empire's borders, and spread its prestige!

The surrounding tribes submitted, every nation came to pay tribute, and they honored him as the "Heavenly Khan"!

Yan Xuan: "?"

Yan Xuan broke down, drawing a lesson from his failures: he'd only failed because he'd meddled too much and worked too hard.

"This time, I'll do nothing and manage nothing. Surely things will fall into chaos then?"

But the country recovered and prospered even more, and everyone praised him as "a sage emperor who ruled with effortless grace."

Yan Xuan: "..."

So I can't get rid of this crown as the greatest emperor of all time, can I?
