In the fifth year of Jianyuan, the Kingdom of Wei annexed the Kingdom of Liang.
When the nation fell and its capital was breached, a meteor fell into a well in the Liang palace.
The King of Wei sent soldiers to search for it, and they found a special "Imperial Jade Seal."
The immortal wore a jeweled crown, robes like jade, and a glass pendant at his waist.
A golden bracelet encircled his left arm, inscribed with eight characters: "By Heaven's mandate, may it endure and prosper forever."
When asked his name, he called himself "Xi."
The King of Wei was overjoyed. He welcomed him as a national treasure and proclaimed himself the legitimate ruler.
And yet...
Yu Zixi thought he must be incredibly unlucky to transmigrate to an unfamiliar dynasty wearing a jade-seal cosplay outfit, only to land squarely on the Imperial Jade Seal hidden in a well.
With the sound of people searching overhead, he smashed the seal and put on a show as a jade seal coming to life.
At first, he only wanted to find an identity that would let him survive.
Later on,
looking at the chaotic world before him, with the central plains torn apart by war between the Hu and Han peoples, everyone daring to declare themselves emperor and everyone fighting over the jade seal, Yu Zixi had this to say:
Good birds choose trees to nest in, and wise ministers choose rulers to serve. The jade seal ought to change hands among a few more rulers, too.
It's a pity they can't bear the weight of the jade seal. Since the jade seal has inherited the legacies of several fallen emperors, it would only be natural for it to become emperor itself, right?
#The protagonist will grow, including in combat strength.
#The jade seal is the "legacy" of fallen emperors, and the legacies of fallen emperors belong to the jade seal.
#What's wrong with there being so many fallen emperors? They just weren't tough enough. It's a chaotic age, so cut me some slack.
#The protagonist will end the chaos and become emperor. A great cosplay can be anything!
