The day Ruan Qiao and Jiang Boyan broke up, all their friends in the industry heard about it.
At first, their friends refused to believe it. Young Master Jiang spoiled her so much, he was afraid she'd break if he held her too tightly or melt if he kept her in his mouth. How could they possibly have broken up?
It wasn't until they saw Ruan Qiao pick up her camera and Jiang Boyan leave for France, and the two stopped appearing together, that their friends finally realized the truth.

After Ruan Qiao had managed to carve out a place for herself in the entertainment industry, she was forced to take a job photographing the overseas model Ewan Jiang for a magazine spread.
At their first meeting, she saw the nearly six-foot-two model leaning against a wall, his expression aloof, pale eyelids lowered. He seemed entirely out of place, as if he didn't care about anyone around him.
Before the shoot, her assistant told her that Ewan Jiang had a bad temper and was especially difficult to work with. She'd probably have a rough time during the shoot.
But he was so beautiful that every photographer who worked with him saw their career and pay skyrocket.
Ruan Qiao stubbed out her cigarette and sneered. "Even the King of Heaven himself would have to listen to me on set."
She directed him to lie down in a pool of broken glass. Her assistant panicked. "Ewan never accepts dangerous concepts!"
The moment the words fell, the room went silent.
Just as everyone began to fear that the man would storm off after throwing something, he simply looked up at the woman, then calmly unbuttoned his shirt and lay down. "Aren't we starting?"
When the glass cut into his waist and stomach, her fingertips trembled. He grabbed Ruan Qiao's hand with a cold laugh. "You're out of practice."
Everyone was stunned.
But only Ruan Qiao knew that three years ago, Jiang Boyan had obeyed her every word and given her all the tenderness and special treatment he could.

After three years of struggle, Jiang Boyan had landed numerous high-profile endorsements and become an internationally renowned supermodel.
But no one knew that he'd given everything up to go abroad and come back, all for the sake of one woman.
At a celebration banquet, she deliberately linked arms with a newly famous Best Actor. The next day, the trending topic read: #EwanJiangGlaresAllNightAtCelebrationBanquet
That night, Jiang Boyan cornered Ruan Qiao at the banquet hall's back entrance. She snapped, "Jiang Boyan, you're like a mad dog chasing after a bone!"
"Woof." He bit the back of her neck. "Now that I've got my teeth into it, this bone can only be mine."

Later, during Beijing's hazy rainy season, Jiang Boyan knocked on her door in a perfectly tailored suit.
The air was hot and humid. Jiang Boyan pulled the woman into his arms and hungrily devoured her breath.
Again and again, he kissed away the tears gathering at the corners of her eyes, his voice low and hoarse, trembling with vulnerability.
"Qiao Qiao, love me one more time. Please, love me one more time."
