Fake siblings | Reunion after years apart | Six-year age gap
Spoiled heiress x a repressed, obsessive tycoon
-
Jiang Yanwan was pampered from childhood. After five years away, she returns home when her grandfather is critically ill and her family faces a crisis.
Forced to come back to the country, she crashes straight into her "brother's" arms.
The quiet boy who once lived with her is now a legendary figure who can turn the business world upside down.
She avoids him at every turn, but can't escape his relentless pursuit.
On a stormy night, he grips her wrist, obsession burning in his eyes.
"If I'd known that kiss would cost me five years without seeing you, I would've kissed you deeper and longer."
She suddenly remembers that night five years ago, the warm touch lingering on her lips, restrained and controlled.
And the person who kissed her was the brother she'd called that for eleven years.
Jiang Yanwan fled, and stayed away for five years.
-
To escape him and save her family, she agrees to a loveless arranged marriage.
But on the night of her engagement banquet, Ji Yanchi corners her on an empty terrace.
The moonlight is as bright as it was five years ago, but his eyes burn red:
"You could marry anyone. Why can't it be me?"
She closes her eyes, her body trembling uncontrollably. "You're my brother."
-
Everyone says Ji Yanchi is loyal. For five years, he has secretly helped her family and never abandoned them.
But no one knows that Ji Yanchi himself brought about the Jiang family's crisis, all to force her to come back.
Yet she'd rather accept an arranged marriage than stay with him.
-
When he sees the girl smiling at him with her young fiance at her side, jealousy churns in his eyes and spreads like wildfire.
Ji Yanchi clenches his fingers until they turn white, then wraps his arms around her from behind, his voice humbled by five years of longing.
"Wanwan, please, don't leave me."
