When the Flowers Fall, We Meet Again

[Cold-blooded, calculating man x warmhearted, kind woman]

Jie Geng, known in the martial world as "White Robe," is one of the top names on the Divine Ranking. Dressed in white with a bamboo hat, no one has ever seen her face.

Her equal, Chi Yan, is known in the martial world as "Nameless." He remains untouched by worldly affairs, and no one knows where he goes. Only White Robe can stand against him.

They should have remained in the martial world, but instead they answered their country's call and entered the imperial court.

At first, White Robe dreams of someone whose face she cannot make out. In the dream, he repeatedly tells her, "I'm sorry. Let's meet again in our next life." After having the same dream over and over, with the same scene every time, she tries desperately to see his face.

Then she meets Nameless for the first time. She recognizes the figure from her dreams. The face she could never see is now right before her. For the first time, she hears his voice outside her dreams. It isn't as hoarse, nor as sorrowful.

"I've never met you, miss. Why draw your sword the moment we meet?"

"I just... want to confirm something."
