Me, a Con Artist! [Crime Investigation]

Fifteen years ago, a great fire broke out at the prestigious Liu family estate in East City. Only the youngest son, Liu Tianhe, survived by sheer luck.

Fifteen years later, Liu Tianhe returned to East City under the assumed name Shi Heliu.

He had only one goal:

To clear the names of those who should not have died, and make those who deserved to die pay with their lives.

In the fifteenth year of Taiping, ghosts and monsters suddenly began haunting East City, and one strange unsolved case after another came to light.

Victims spotted in various places after their deaths, midnight murder livestreams whose signals could not be traced, corpses walking upright through the water...

East City formed a special task force. Lin Sui, former captain of the major crimes unit, was recalled in an emergency and appointed its leader.

Lin Sui hated anyone who dabbled in the supernatural. Who could have guessed that on the first day of the investigation, at the victim's home, he would run into a smooth-talking charlatan?

The feng shui master Shi Heliu claimed he could "cross between life and death, and walk between the worlds of yin and yang," speaking for the dead and capturing killers to bring them to justice.

Lin Sui sneered. "Show me you can catch one. If you can't, I'll slap the cuffs on you immediately."

Everyone thought Shi Heliu was putting on an act. No one expected him to...

Actually catch one.

Then catch another.

And then another.

The time, place, and identity, even the method of murder, matched down to the smallest detail.

Once could be a coincidence, but twice, three times...

The team members: "Good heavens, Master!"

Lin Sui's gaze toward Shi Heliu grew increasingly complicated, shifting from his initial wariness.

On the day the serial cases were solved, Shi Heliu asked Lin Sui with a cheerful smile, "So, Officer Lin, what do you think?"

Without a word, Lin Sui handcuffed him.

Shi Heliu: "What? The case is solved and you're still arresting me? Do you have any sense of justice?"

Shi Heliu: "Wait, where are you taking me in handcuffs?"

Lin Sui answered in a low voice, "To bed."

Fifteen years ago, Lin Sui had waited for Liu Tianhe at the bridge for a day and a night, only to hear that the entire Liu family had perished in a fire.

From then on, Lin Sui had only one wish: to catch the killer and avenge the person in his heart.

Until one day, Lin Sui saw a familiar birthmark on the feng shui master Shi Heliu.
