After Picking Up My Archenemy to Use as a Cultivation Vessel

After his sworn enemy ascended, Shou found the furnace he had left behind.

Shou: This guy acts like a gentleman, but who knew he had such wild tastes in private?

But... why does this furnace look a little like my sworn enemy when he was young?

Shou took the furnace home.

Only after bringing him home did he discover that the furnace's golden core was damaged, his cultivation was gone, and even his mind was impaired. He was dazed and foolish, completely useless.

Regret.

Still, he was obedient.

Shou: Pour me some tea.

The furnace obediently poured a cup and held it to Shou's lips.

Shou: Call me big brother.

The furnace obediently spoke, his voice low and hoarse, nine-tenths like his sworn enemy's.

Shou: Heh.

After deciding to keep the furnace, Shou began looking for ways to heal him.

Alas, even after his golden core was reforged and his cultivation restored, the furnace was still foolish. He could only blink with eyes identical to his sworn enemy's and call him stupidly, "Big brother."

Shou: Sorry, I want to do something wrong.

He pointed at the bed. "Warm it for me."

The furnace took off his clothes and obediently climbed into bed.

Shou: His head may be empty, but he's pretty good at this...

Wait.

He felt the scar on the furnace's chest, left behind all those years ago when he had saved Shou.

Shou lowered his head in disbelief and met a pair of clear, lucid eyes.

Shou: …

I treated my sworn enemy like a furnace, and now he's come to his senses. What do I do? Help, waiting online.

Gong was the greatest prodigy in the cultivation world, the person most likely to ascend.

Everyone thought he had perfected the Heartless Way, but no one knew that he had always kept someone in his heart.

But their paths diverged between immortality and demonic cultivation, and they had been estranged for a hundred years.

Until his failed ascension left his mind damaged, lucid one moment and confused the next.

In his daze, he heard a familiar voice, mocking and scornful: "Call me big brother."

Gong: ...

Gong: !

Theme: After all the twists and turns, it's still you.
