This is a short story within a story from the entertainment-industry novel in my collection, The Straight Guy Who Turned Me Gay Is Back.
Fake stepbrothers | Childhood friends | Rivals | Lovers
As an adult, Lu Nan rarely celebrates his birthday.
After his family falls on hard times, the young master becomes a wage slave. The down-on-his-luck salesman throws up outside a KTV from age twenty-four until he turns twenty-five.
His high school classmate and coworker returns with water and points at a man in a luxury car nearby. "Xiao Nan, I think I just saw your brother."
"Keep dreaming. Where the hell would I get a brother?"
Lu Nan looks up, drenched in sweat, and sees Jiang Youzhi getting out of the car in the distance.
The man's gaze is gentle but fixed on his target. In his suit and tie, he looks like an elegant scoundrel, rich and refined.
Damn... He's like a ghost that won't leave me alone.
"It's Jiang Youzhi. Your parents may have married and divorced and married again, but you were brothers for so many years. Back in school, didn't you insist on walking home with him every day?"
"We're done. That bastard's gay!"
The figure draws closer. Lu Nan's throat burns, and his tie is tight enough to choke him.
"Huh? Gay people can be homophobic too?"
"...Shut up."
After all, Lu Nan still hasn't found a reasonable explanation for the fact that Jiang Youzhi wanted to get into his pants, and that he's secretly been reliving the memory.
Jiang Youzhi has always known that Lu Nan is a bad liar who can't hide his feelings, all bark and a soft heart.
When drunk, he's very forward, but he still can't resist running his mouth.
For example, he cried out that it hurt the first night, complained that he was tired the second, and only pretended to be reluctant when asking for a third round on the third night.
Reuniting after their breakup was never part of Jiang Youzhi's plans.
But now that it's happened, there's no going back to the way things were.
◎ The master of self-control vs. the one who flies off the handle
#My best friend likes men, I'm never playing with him again
#If I don't go find him, does he not know he should come find me? I'm mad
#He actually dares to go on a blind date, hmph, just watch what I do
#What do I do after sleeping with my ex-stepbrother? Need an answer fast
"Before it was over, he had already started running, clutching the medicine that would quench his thirst."
