For the sake of his plan, He Shenting initially meant to keep him around without much thought, like a cat or a dog. But later... he wanted to discipline him.

He kept Xie Ci on a tight leash, made him obedient, using a ruler, rules, and words to grind away every bit of his wild nature. In the sordid pleasure that blossomed in the dark, he wore a gentleman's mask as he said, "A Ci, you mustn't do this to your uncle."

Then Xie Ci vanished into thin air.

Twenty-three days later, Xie Ci was trembling all over as he was forced to kneel before He Shenting again. He looked fearfully at the man in the executive chair, his expression dark, as he crushed a familiar pill between his teeth.

He said, "You can run now, Xie Ci. I'll give you five minutes."

After the fake fox came home, He Shenting treasured him like he was the apple of his eye. Everyone thought Xie Ci, who came from the lower district, would settle down and obediently become a pampered pet in a wealthy household.

But in the study, Xie Ci stood with his foot on He Shenting's shoulder and said absently, "I like your Aston Martin more than your love, Uncle. You mustn't do this to me."
