A transmigrated woman's story.
[Synopsis]
Quiet and ordinary were the words Qing Yan heard most often before she transmigrated. Mild-tempered and solitary, she lived with her grandmother, the two of them relying on each other.
She thought she could spend her whole life living an ordinary, quiet existence.
But she transmigrated, becoming one of the many illegitimate children of a fifth-rank official. Because the principal wife disliked them, she and her mother lived in constant fear.
With just one sentence, "My daughter doesn't want to marry," Qing Yan became the one who had to marry in place of her illegitimate elder sister.
No one asked if she was willing. They were all forcing her.
Her mother was timid and could only hold her and weep. Qing Yan didn't blame her, because she knew that in this unfamiliar world, her mother was the only one who loved her.
She married. Life wasn't too difficult, but it wasn't good, either. Though she was the eldest son's wife, she was still a concubine-born daughter.
Fortunately, her husband came to respect and love her more and more, giving her some comfort. But her battered heart told her that she wanted to go home.
"She often says things I don't understand, but I don't dare ask."
Note: 1v1, sc, not sweet, classic tropes, marriage before love.
