But when he reaches the entrance to his master's bedchamber, he sees clearly through the half-open door:

His shiniang is pinned beneath a man's broad back. His skin is as white as cold jade in the dim room, and his misty, long-lashed eyes glance toward Xie Xingzhu from afar.

That one glance...

Xie Xingzhu's breathing turns ragged, and his composure crumbles.

From then on, he no longer dares look at his shiniang for long.

Later,

he becomes the unfilial disciple willing to draw his sword for his shiniang, fighting his master and all the others who covet him until they are battered and bloody.
