I, Fishy, Have Finally Made It to Shore

-

Haixi is a mermaid who lives near Ling'er Island. One day, while searching for food, the weather suddenly changed. Giant waves surged across the sea, tossing him high into the air and flinging him dozens of meters away, onto human territory.

His tail turned into legs, so he had no choice but to pretend to be human and act cautiously. Luckily, he was excellent at imitation, quick-witted and lively. The human who took him in had no idea he was a mermaid!!!

He thought he could return to the sea once the injury on his leg healed, but then his friend, the giant sea turtle, brought terrible news!!

A mermaid who comes ashore at eighteen has only one way to change back.

The giant sea turtle said, "Find a human and make him fall in love with you. Wet your reverse scales with tears of love, and you'll turn back into a mermaid."

"Where am I supposed to find someone to love? How can I tell if he loves me? And if we're in love, why would anyone cry?" Haixi fired off several soul-searching questions in a row.

The giant sea turtle said, "Don't worry. Humans are all shallow. They'll be smitten as soon as they see your face. The moment love takes hold, your reverse scales will glow. Once he's fallen for you, just dump him cruelly. Then he'll cry for you, won't he?"

Haixi hesitated. "That doesn't seem right. I've finally found someone who loves me, and now I'm supposed to make him cry."

"Do you still want to be a fish or not?!"

"I do, I do!"

It's hard to understand eighteen-year-olds. Just a few days ago, he was moping because he missed home. Then all of a sudden, he perked up and came running over to say he wanted to date someone, and asked me to set him up.

I can't make sense of it.

No, wait. He's not an ordinary kid, he's a little mermaid. I suppose I can understand it a bit.

Gu Zhuo found a beautiful young man in his courtyard. When he checked the security footage, he discovered that the boy had transformed from a mermaid with a glowing tail.

He's silly, acts strangely, and thinks he's doing a great job passing as human.

He's so clueless. What if he gets tricked while dating someone? I'd better handle this myself if I want to be sure.

Fish: "Excuse me, do you know where I can find a high-quality human?"

Human: "Why are you looking for a human?"

Fish: "I urgently need to find a human to date. Could you introduce me to someone?"

Human: "No need to look. I'm right in front of you."
