My Days as a Bride in a Warring Nation

The Vargus Empire is a nation of fighters, with the strongest military force on the continent of Alvion.

The Vargus Empire is also known as the Cursed Nation. Its people are plagued by a curse and must go to the Temple of War to have the cracks on their bodies cleansed.

The Temple of War enshrines the divine artifact Shadow-Sand River, which diligently purifies the people's curses.

Then the artifact suddenly shatters, and the curse runs rampant.

The Imperial Astrologer predicts that the Kingdom of Solanis is their only hope for survival.

-

The Kingdom of Solanis is blessed by the God of Light, and its people have a high chance of becoming priests.

At five years old, Princess Leia was found to have an exceptionally strong affinity for light. At twenty-two, she receives a marriage proposal from the Vargus Empire.

Marry, or go to war.

-

Rein and Leia are twins, identical in appearance. He is her older brother, and Leia is his younger sister.

The Vargus Empire suddenly asks for Princess Leia's hand in marriage.

Rumor has it that the empire's ruler is cruel, bloodthirsty, skilled at war, and a battle maniac.

Rein reassures Leia: "Leia, just go in peace."

Leia: "...?"

Then Leia elopes with her boyfriend.

That very day, His Majesty the King finds Rein. "You're taking her place."

Rein's pupils slowly dilate in shock. "...?"

His Majesty is stern. "Rein, you must not let them discover who you are. If your identity is exposed, the two nations will go to war." His tone softens. "Don't worry. Once we find Leia, you'll switch places again."

The king makes him a grand promise. "Rein, when this is all over, you'll be the King of Solanis!"

Rein: "..." What a round, plump promise.

He'll take it.

-

Rein marries into the Vargus Empire.

On their wedding night,

Rein repeats to himself: Don't get into bed, don't let him find out, don't...

It all happens in an instant.

The strongest fighter in the battle-hardened nation suddenly shoves him onto the bed and climbs on top of him.

With a tug of his fingers, he tears Rein's clothes.

Rein: "...?"

Damn! What happened to the buildup?
