The Merman Dad Raises His Little One

Jones had lost his memory.

His landlord said his name was Jones Lyle and his age was unknown. He currently rented a room in a five-story tenement in the poor district, where all sorts of people lived.

He was two months behind on rent and was about to fall three months behind.

Jones thought his name suited him: he was so poor he could die. All he had were two eggs.

While deciding whether to make fried eggs, sunny-side-up eggs, or boiled eggs, the two eggs hatched. To his utter astonishment, they produced a little mermaid and a little white bird.

Already poor, he now had to raise a greedy fish and a bird that ate like there was no tomorrow, all by himself.

At first, he thought they were just ordinary little pets. Later, he discovered there was something unusual about them.

The baby fish could control water.

The baby bird had healing powers.

The fish and bird made an invincible team, incredibly powerful and awesome. Then, one day, the little bird spoke first: "Papa!"

The little fish followed right after: "Papa!"

Ever since they unlocked the ability to "talk," the fish and bird had put all eight hundred of their tricks into competing for his attention.
