"In an age when the foul black tide surged from the horizon, and heroes like the sun set out on their journeys,"
"There were many stories that were never recorded in the chronicles of mankind, nor passed down in song."
The Obsidian Codex: The Crown of the Saints
This is a Genshin Impact fanfic about the Natlan NPCs Och-Kan and Xibalba, built around the game's original lore.
The story begins before the Six Heroes unite to defeat the Pyro Dragon Lord. This is a relatively restrained take on their history.
I'm a fanfic writer who sticks close to canon and loves digging through ancient lore. I originally wanted to do rigorous research and write an epic about the heroes. The highest achievement in reconstructing history, after all, is to weave it into canon so seamlessly that it seems real (). But most of this history in the game is scattered across bits of text, and much of it is written in an epic style, full of flowery language. There's no strict chronological narrative, and far too much is left unsaid, so I had to let my imagination run wild and lean harder into building the history myself.
A friendly reminder: This is a reimagining based on the game's original storyline. It will be easier to follow if you've seen the game's original story, especially the Natlan world quests, as well as the famous in-game text series "The King’s Notes" (the source of the lyrics to Och-Kan's theme song), the "Blazing Sun" weapon text, the "Earthshaker" weapon text, and the "Delirious Lord of the Saints" weapon ascension material text. I'm too lazy to explain some basic details, so if you don't know any of this, you might not understand what I'm writing.
Theme: Love and peace
Ah ah ah, that's great. In the country of Yagami, you can also make dumplings and have family fun. I don't care. Everyone in the first generation of Nata wants to he (roll around (praising Yagami (what)
Although the original text is good, it is too little. Xibalak gained the power of the Fire Dragon by killing the Fire Dragon King, which is the power of the God's Throne. Later, he negotiated with Ruonawa to get the power of the Ruler of Death, and used this part of the power to create the rules of Nata's Resurrection Poetry.
The setting of the Kingdom of Yagami is really good, so that everyone can reunite with He beautifully 😭 Is this one of the unique tenderness of Genshin Impact?
Why does the dragon clan like green honey berries not just a kind of low-level code?
It's delicious, but the name Turquoise is too harsh 😭
Hey, you dragons 😂 share the same gravity
I don't understand either. I saw some people saying that Xibarak had communicated with Die Zhi before killing the Fire Dragon King [rolls eyes], but I really can't find any relevant information in the game, which is confusing.
Come on [spread flowers][spread flowers][spread flowers] Will Sibalak survive? 🥺 🥺 🥺 It will be he 🥺 🥺 🥺
Oh my god, what you wrote is so on point. It's amazing... The interactive atmosphere among the team members is so lively, as if it's come alive (? Wait a minute, what hell joke/(eyes shift to fingers) [Orange Candy] is here
Why does the tyrant Ochikan keep his history of being imprisoned by dragons? Because...[Caidog]
