Doting on the Beauty

1.

Cui Wu is the wife of Qin Jian, military governor of Hexi. Her husband is a dashing, heroic man who rules over his domain. He treats her like a treasure, indulging her in every way. Anyone would say she is lucky: born a commoner, she rose to the top on the strength of her beauty alone.

Only Cui Wu knows how much she hates it. She hates that Qin Jian took her by force, and hates his insatiable demands, which she cannot endure. But she is frail and powerless to resist.

Then one day, her husband's cousin comes to visit and stays at the estate. It seems there may be a turn of events.

The cousin is a lord, with methods and influence to rival Qin Jian's, and a proper gentleman who always keeps himself in check.

In the dead of night, Cui Wu gathers her courage and knocks on his door. "I can steal the secret letter you want from my husband. In exchange, you must take me away from Hexi."

2.

Pei Zhaoting and Qin Jian are close blood relatives who once lived and died together. He thought their bond could never be broken. But then Qin Jian's wife came to him.

In the moonlight, her skin was soft as cream, her slender waist bound with a pale sash. Timid and delicate, she wanted to bargain with him.

Pei Zhaoting's heart burned. He thought: She's wrong. She cannot afford the price of this bargain.

3.

Cui Wu is the only person Qin Jian has ever loved. Anyone who provokes him will lose their head.

In short: two awful men are fighting over the woman. Who is the male lead? Sorry, that hasn't been decided yet.
