The Princess's Submissive

1.

Banban has a nightmare. In it, the great general Pei Yue assassinates the emperor and usurps the throne, cowing the realm. He is as savage as a beast, almost biting her to death.

Banban wakes in fright. When she opens her eyes, her father is still emperor, and she is still a pampered princess. Pei Yue is only a slave at the horse ranch, beaten until he's bloody and near death for some mistake, lying in the mud.

Remembering her dream, she agonizes over it for a long time, then decides to buy Pei Yue and become his owner. She will treat him well and teach him to obey, so she can prevent the tragedy to come.

The young princess strokes the slave's head, haughty and spoiled. “I'll take care of you. Be good, okay?”

Later, just as she wished, the tall and mighty Pei Yue kneels before her and kisses her toes, like a tamed wolf. “I belong to the princess. I only ask for her favor.”

Banban is very pleased.

Until the day she is to be married, when the situation suddenly changes.

2.

Pei Yue raises an army in rebellion and seizes the realm. His ruthless methods cow the court and the people, leaving them too terrified to speak.

After the new emperor ascends the throne, the first thing he does is have Princess Jinyang brought to him.

The princess was the new emperor's former master, and once made him a slave. Everyone says that after suffering such humiliation, the new emperor will surely kill her to vent his rage.

No one knows that deep within the palace, in a lotus-patterned bedchamber, the supreme emperor kneels at Banban's feet, as obedient as ever. “I belong to the princess. I only ask for her favor.”
