[Notes for a Certain Literary Stray Dog's Magician]

"A Magician's Guide to Surviving Yokohama | Innocent Healer x Chaotic Neutral City"

*

Nakajima Atsushi was once again out doing his part for Yokohama's peace.

Well, actually, he'd just stepped out to run an errand when he happened to rescue a girl who was standing dazed in the middle of the road.

She had chestnut hair and clear eyes, and spoke as gently as if she held a cloud in her mouth.

Then, right in front of everyone at the intersection, she sent thirty-seven cars soaring into the sky.

"I was only trying to help..." she explained in a small voice, producing a stack of ten-thousand-yen bills from thin air and stuffing them into his arms. "This is a thank-you gift."

Nakajima Atsushi: ???

Kunikida slapped the table. "This is definitely ability-related crime!"

Dazai Osamu smiled as he plucked out a bill. "No, this may be the cutest storm in Yokohama's history."

[Heroine's Perspective]

Kikuchi Yume was very confused.

Magic was supposed to be used to help people

Back home, magic had watered the wheat fields with rain, healed injured birds, and even cured the neighborly old lady's back pain with soothing spells.

But everything went wrong when she arrived in Yokohama.

Her teacher strictly forbade her from using magic on outsiders, ability users watched her like hawks, and even the thank-you gifts she gave made people's faces change.

*

The Special Division for Unusual Powers called an emergency meeting late into the night, while the Port Mafia raised its threat level.

Meanwhile, the girl at the center of the storm was fretting over something else. "Teacher said I'm not allowed to use magic outside..."

But she really couldn't help it. How could anyone resist using their hands to get things done?

▼Reader's Guide:

◆ A lighthearted story about a natural-born magician wandering into the world of Literary Stray Dogs.

◆ The heroine isn't an original character. She's Kikuchi Yume, the heroine of Notes for a Certain Magician! She's incredibly powerful and can even travel directly to the moon with magic.

◆ There isn't much romance, really, very little!

◆ Yokohama's F4 + the Special Division + □□ all watch as magic descends.

Theme: When the world uses "fate" as a name for erasure, even those who are cast out can become the ones who write the story.
