[Showbiz] A Wimp, Yet the Superstar Fell in Love at First Sight

(Honest, timid, sweet-but-clueless poor nobody & the ultimate love-struck superstar who thinks his girlfriend can do no wrong)

After a lifetime of being honest and meek, Pei Xiuyuan had somehow become an older single woman. Unable to withstand her parents' relentless nagging, she finally agreed to go on a blind date.

Before she went, Pei Xiuyuan figured that anyone who matched her would probably be pretty average too. To her surprise, when she opened the door, she saw Quan Zhilong sitting inside. Yes, that Quan Zhilong, the top-tier star.

In a daze, Pei Xiuyuan somehow made it through dinner and went home. She thought this bizarre encounter would be the end of it, but the next day, Quan Zhilong took the initiative and asked her out.

When Pei Xiuyuan's friends learned that their ordinary, down-to-earth friend was dating Quan Zhilong, they were all stunned. They hurriedly asked how she'd managed to win over a huge star, but Pei Xiuyuan just shook her head in confusion.

“He was the one who pursued me.”

Quan Zhilong's friends all thought he had gone crazy lately. He was actually infatuated with a plain-looking, boring, timid fool of a woman.

Quan Zhilong disagreed with every last one of them. “My girlfriend is obviously beautiful, adorable, lively, fun, quick-witted, and smart. What do you know?!”

Ever since he started dating Pei Xiuyuan, Quan Zhilong only wore clothes that cost less than a thousand, bought everything on Pinduoduo, and ate only budget combo meals from Pin Hao Fan. The godfather of fashion had transformed into a wholesaler of bargain-bin knickknacks.

The changes were so obvious that there was no need to guess: Quan Zhilong was definitely in love. His fans were furious. Who was it?! Who had dragged their idol off his pedestal?!

After the relationship went public, every detail of Pei Xiuyuan's identity was dug up. A group of furious fans went to confront her in person, determined to see what kind of person this woman was.

Faced with her boyfriend's menacing horde of rabid fans surrounding her, timid and cowardly Pei Xiuyuan's knees gave way, and she dropped to her knees right there in the street.

“I'm sorry! Please don't hit me!”
