Ji Muqiu thought she was dreaming and dismissed it. "Stop messing around. I'll wake up in a minute."
"Host, please don't say things like that. You died suddenly from working overtime and were accidentally bound to this System. You must complete every game to come back to life!"
Ji Muqiu glanced at her mother and found it even harder to believe. "Then why is my mom here?"
"Because this System requires both Hosts to complete every challenge together in order to come back to life. So please cooperate!"
Ji Wan was bewildered and turned to her daughter for help. "What is she babbling about?"
Ji Muqiu looked at her mother, whom she had not seen in years and with whom she had a distant relationship. "It doesn't matter. I'm not going through the challenges with you."
"Friendly reminder from the System: Refusing to participate means you must ride the drop tower ten times in the amusement park before you can leave."
Ji Muqiu's head began to ache. "I was a little confused just now. I misspoke. Sorry, I'll do it, I'll do it!"
With a heavy heart, she told her mother, "I'll explain everything to you later."
