Holographic Romance, but the NPC Is a Plant's Brain Waves

Su Yixing is a straight-laced college guy: he talks nonsense online, but is timid in real life, and has never dated anyone.

By sheer dumb luck, he won a beta key for some mysterious full-dive game.

The next day, a full-dive headset appeared on his desk.

Su Yixing: ?!

He carefully put on the headset.

System: [High-quality NPCs, hyper-realistic full-dive simulations, earn romance coins by clearing stages and unlock more ways to play!]

Su Yixing: Wow, do I... have to pay?

System: [Not during the beta, you don't.]

Su Yixing's eyes lit up: Then what are we waiting for?

-

The NPCs were impossibly hard to win over, but their models were so dazzling they made his head spin, their bodies made his thoughts go places, and their voice actors had voices so swoon-worthy they could make his legs give out. The game world was incredibly compelling, too! The full-dive game made everything feel real, with a maximum level of immersion!

After finally dating NPC after NPC,

Su Yixing teared up: I deserve to be spoiled like this!

One day, as Su Yixing, utterly absorbed in his game, brushed past someone, he heard a voice behind him call out the name of one of his in-game NPC boyfriends, the one he'd been dating online

"Bo Shulin, over here."

"?!"

He saw the exact same face as in the game, panicked, and ran home.

Su Yixing: System, wasn't I supposed to be romancing virtual NPCs?!

System: [...The game randomly draws on outstanding real-world data for reference.]

Su Yixing: ...

"Let's break up!" Su Yixing abruptly dumped his in-game boyfriend, took off the headset, and swore off love.

His in-game boyfriends: "?!"

System: [Warning! Warning! The brain waves of some dormant NPCs are abnormal! A large number of unknown bugs have appeared in the game!]

-

Su Yixing returned to real life and carried on with his life, only to find that the NPC boyfriends he'd dated in the game were appearing around him one after another

Su Yixing, who had been wild in the game but was a coward in real life, trembled with fear:

They, they don't remember me, do they?!

#Harem of admirers, male rivalry, full-dive game, all love interests are unhinged bad seeds

Theme: Love has no first come, first served. You have to fight and snatch it for yourself.
