[The full story is complete. The final two chapters go up tonight. Enjoy! 10.4] [Restrained, smoldering, devoted gong vs. seductive, foxlike, unhinged shou] Su Lixia's father wanted to find a fake young master to replace him and kick him out of the wealthy family. Su Lixia: Heh. So we're playing the civet cat switching places with the crown prince? Su Lixia found the civet cat before his father did. When his childhood friend rushed to find him at the club, Su Lixia was still staring at a handsome waiter. Su Lixia lifted his chin. "What do you think of that guy?" The waiter wore a black-and-white uniform. His features were delicate, his eyes downcast, and his cool demeanor made him seem out of place among everyone else. His childhood friend said, "They're about to switch the civet cat for the crown prince, and Your Highness isn't worried in the least?" Su Lixia snorted. "That's the civet cat." Half an hour later, Su Lixia set it up so the civet cat knocked over his three-million-yuan bottle of liquor. He smiled brazenly at the young man. "You look like someone I once knew. Be his stand-in and call it payment for the liquor. How about it?" * Later, Lin Jinsen pinned Su Lixia to the bed and bit his lip as he asked, "Has that person ever touched you?" Su Lixia was too overwhelmed to speak. So this was what happened when a reserved person went wild. Later still, Su Lixia got drunk and knocked on Lin Jinsen's door. "I miss him... Kiss me." Amid the pounding, Su Lixia heard the other man snarl, "If you miss him, why don't you go find him?" Su Lixia answered in a breathy, halting voice. "He's... dead..." Su Lixia tilted his head back and smiled in pleasure. Getting him worked up like this really did make it feel even better. * Later on, The helicopter Su Lixia was riding in crashed deep in the desert. Once everything had settled, he sent Lin Jinsen one last message: "The stand-in act is over. I'm going to find him." Then he turned off his phone, tossed it into Lanque Lake as he passed, and made his death look convincing with a flourish. The search-and-rescue team searched from the crash site all the way to the nearby lakeshore, but found nothing. It wasn't until several days later that they retrieved the phone from the deep lake. Lin Jinsen gripped the waterlogged phone and stood on the freezing, gloomy shore all night. * The day news of the Su family's downfall spread throughout the Federation, Su Lixia was lying happily beneath the starry skies of the Aslant Empire, enjoying the wind of freedom. At this point, seven years remained before someone caught him. "I'm mildly misanthropic, but afraid to die." "So let's fall in love, like two damn gamblers." P.S. This is a fictional modern setting. Please don't conflate it with real life. Theme: When the false seems true, and the true seems false.
