What Do You Mean the Batkid I Raised Is Bruce?

Many years after you transmigrated, a System suddenly appeared and told you that completing its missions would make you ageless and immortal, granting you eternal life.

The missions were:

1. Raise Bruce Wayne.

2. Help Batman change Gotham City.

3. Save the world.

The System even thoughtfully gave you your rewards in advance.

You successfully became ageless, immortal, and impervious to pain, forever.

After being tormented for decades in a world crawling with criminals, madmen, and superheroes, you had finally managed to beg for death. You: "..."

Furious, you raised your hand and chopped the System to pieces.

What Gotham? What villains?

Save what? Let them all die.

Just as you were about to lose your mind, you heard a gunshot.

In a dark, filthy alley, an eight-year-old boy sat fallen on the ground. His blue eyes were wet as he looked at you, as if he had found his last refuge.

That was your godson, Bruce Wayne.

One of the absolute main characters in the DC universe.

A "Pillar of the World," on the same level as your reward, capable of breaking your immortality.

A mad idea began to take shape in your mind.

So you walked toward him.

And lifted him from the pool of blood.

You said to him, "I'm sorry I'm late."

"From now on, I'll protect you and keep you away from all danger and hatred."

"Leave it to me. Leave everything to me."

"I'll command all fear and bear all sin."

And then...

You would be the one to kill me.

-

I entrust you with all of me: my past, my sins, my weaknesses, my thoughts, even my life and death.

But in the end, I beg you, Bruce.

Kill me.

Let my soul find a place to rest.

+ Mutual salvation.

+ In a certain sense, the protagonist has maxed out his combat power.

+ But his mental state is terrible. He's an outstanding graduate of Arkham's talent pool (just kidding).

+ There will be a section where he kills supervillains. The protagonist is an obsessive Batman fan.

+ He's Bruce's godfather. There are already so many Batkids, so let me write a Batdad too. (Am I wrong?)

+ A short story I wrote for fun after getting carried away by a movie. Apologies for not sticking closely to DC canon.

+ I beg you for new life, my beloved.
