After Becoming a Monster Cub

In the tenth year of the apocalypse, Hua Shi is born from beneath a monster's belly. After finally accepting the fact that she's become a little monster, she happily settles into life as a monster cub. Then one day, she wakes up in a strange place, with the monster she never leaves behind nowhere to be found.

Just as Hua Shi begins to panic, a pair of dirty hands scoops her up and runs.

"There's a child here!!"

The person runs up onto a platform and holds her high overhead. In a hoarse voice, they cry out with excitement: "It's alive! It's alive!!!"

The scarred hands clutch her so tightly that she feels uncomfortable. At last, she can't help bursting into tears.

Everyone's gaze is drawn to her.

They look at the wailing baby, arms and legs flailing wildly, and their hollow, silent or cold, wary eyes slowly redden.

After a long while, someone chokes out: "So noisy."
