Shen Qi woke up one day on an unfamiliar planet. The System told him that to get home, he had to complete a mission on the scale of bringing world peace. But Shen Qi was just a nobody. All he wanted was to live an ordinary life.
First, as an undocumented person, he ignored the System's endless nagging and found a sucker to forge an identity for him. Like any ordinary person on any planet, he enrolled in military academy and lived the life of an ordinary cadet. His only hobby was sneaking off to the black market, disguising himself as a Sentinel to buy cigarettes, alcohol, and face masks.
In other people's eyes, Shen Qi was a strange Guide. He liked wearing black from head to toe, had no mental form, gave off no pheromones, and couldn't form a bond with Sentinels. That's because he was a low-level alpha from another world, with absolutely nothing to do with the Guide-Sentinel system of this one.
Why did he cover himself up so thoroughly? Simply because Guides and Sentinels in this world didn't get tattoos or navel piercings. Afraid of seeming too out of place and attracting trouble, he just wore a mask and gloves to cover his tattoos.
But a sudden accident shattered Shen Qi's peaceful life. A strange Sentinel fell right in front of him. Shen Qi looked at the huge, fluffy lion and couldn't resist squatting down to pet it.
Shen Qi stepped over the apparently dead Sentinel on the ground and went back to his dorm as usual. Only after finishing his game did he notice a familiar mental form lying by the door. It came over and licked his hand.
Damn it, he only petted the lion once, and now it wouldn't leave him alone.
