She stares at the curly-haired lion king, so frightened she keeps hiccuping. Then she sees him take a blood-red piece of meat out of the fridge and slam it onto the chopping board. He looks like he's about to kill someone.

Chi Tang turns pale and awkwardly tries to make conversation. "Y-you're hungry too?"

The Curly-Haired Lion King glances at her. "Mm."

"I'm full. I'll head upstairs," Chi Tang says, quickly setting down her bowl. Suddenly, an arm blocks her path.

The Curly-Haired Lion King looks at her impassively. "You left a lot uneaten."

"I'll eat it right now, right now."

That night, Chi Tang tearfully eats a huge bowl of instant noodles and an entire steak, so stuffed she feels like dying.

Scene Two:

When Chi Tang is four months pregnant, Wen Hengjing loses his appetite and is so anxious he can barely sleep. Every night, he checks Chi Tang's health and strictly manages every aspect of her life.

After four months of eating nothing but nutritious meals, Chi Tang is sick of the taste and desperately wants some forbidden "junk food."

While Wen Hengjing is at work, she angrily orders a whole table's worth of takeout and invites the housekeeper and the maids to eat with her.

But Wen Hengjing unexpectedly comes home and catches them in the act. That night, she gets punished.

Chi Tang bites his ear in anger. "How did you find out!?"

Wen Hengjing wraps his arms around her waist and calmly says, "Your replies to my messages were perfunctory."

"How were they perfunctory?!" Chi Tang asks in shock. She checks their chat history but doesn't see anything wrong.

Wen Hengjing kisses her cheek. "You didn't send me the bunny-hugging sticker."
