Zhu Heng is the sect's most promising candidate to become the next sect leader. People praise him with words like "radiant and refined" and "peerless in the world."
As Zhu Heng's disciple, Shen Liuyue has admired him since childhood and grown up following in his footsteps... It wasn't until he was older that Shen Liuyue realized he had hidden feelings for his master.

Shen Liuyue's gaze lingered on Zhu Heng for longer and longer, and he also discovered a major obstacle on his path to love, quietly following Zhu Heng around like a persistent ghost: his martial uncle, Zhu Heng's junior brother, Ying Nanxing.
In truth, Ying Nanxing isn't a prominent presence in the sect. He isn't a sword cultivator, but a rare healer. He also doesn't like going out on adventures. Most of the time, he tinkers with his medicinal formulas inside the sect.
Shen Liuyue dislikes him because he is always around Zhu Heng, who never turns down Ying Nanxing's advances. After leaving the pocket realm, the two finally stop exchanging barbed words, but something has changed in a subtle way. In particular, Ying Nanxing shuts himself away in seclusion, while Shen Liuyue surrounds and intercepts him.

Ying Nanxing sneaks out of his immortal manor, where he has been cultivating in seclusion. Not seeing that familiar figure, he finally feels relieved. But before he can enjoy himself for long, Shen Liuyue rides his flying sword toward him from the distant horizon.
He lunges fiercely at Ying Nanxing and loudly declares, "From today on, Martial Uncle, you aren't allowed to talk to any other sword cultivators, or healers either! You're my cultivation partner. You can only talk to me!"
